Always hearing this once a day. Especially while workin in office. More focus and crying at the same time. Truly awesome!!! Sayaka Shoji!!!

Naprawdę piękne wykonanie. Jestem zauroczony i samą kompozycją (Vivaldi/Richter), i stylem wykonania. Sama przyjemność we wsłuchiwaniu się i przeżywaniu muzyki. Wielkie dzięki! No i wyrazy uznania dla muzyków! Brawo! A really great performance. I am charmed by both: composition (Vivaldi/Richter) and style of performance. Just a pleasure to listen to and experience this music. Thanks a lot! And compliments to artists! Bravo!

I think I like this interpretation more than Richter's original. The lovely slow build up of momentum (mass, not speed) in the first movement was more dramatic than Richters more measured approach. And there were other differences And Sayaka Shoji as a violinist is just... pure perfection. Somehow she combines a high degree of precision, with deep emotion, something that is not easy or common even among the best. I only intended to listen to the first movement, but I couldn't pull myself away and actually listened to the whole performance twice in a row in a single sitting.

The more times I come back to listen, the more I like it. One of the few times in recent years that a modern composer has managed to pull off a new classical type of composition for violin and Orchestra. Ok it uses the Four Seasons Vivaldi as its basis, but the composer tweaks it here and there with new and worthwhile improvisations to achieve some wonderful results.

Wow, a thousand breaths of fresh air in an oft-performed work that’s become so cliché. The thumbnail caught my eye in my Recommendations and boy am I happy I clicked it. First time hearing this work and nonetheless by Sayaka, an avant-garde musician herself leading the Classical revolution. None more perfect a match.

GRACIAS.

I had always thought it odd that Sayaka, having grown up on pasta, and the master of Paganini, would give Vivaldi a miss. This recomposed childhood memories would take getting used to but Sayaka is a reward in itself and herself.
