They both are right, Oak Cliff is huge and it's some good middle class parts and some rough and dusty parts. A lot of people from Oak Cliff move to Duncanville, DeSoto, Lancaster and Cedar Hill for a better life and their kids still want to rep Oak Cliff. I grew up around SOC and if you know you know and I went to Lincoln in the heart of South Dallas. I was there when Big T first opened so Charleston knows what he's talking about.

“Some of us playing hood in well to do areas” that’s one of the realest lines I’ve ever heard. Where I’m from u had a lot of that when I was growing up. It’s levels to this shyt when ur growing up black in certain cities. Where I’m from when I was growing up if u lived west of Sherman Blvd and North of Capitol Drive especially out on the northwest side near Silver Spring, Mill Rd, Good Hope, Bradley Rd and Brown Deer Rd u were doing really well for urself becuz that part of Brew City was predominantly white back in the day. So if u black and u lived over those ways u were definitely privileged, went to better schools and all that while me, my cousins and everybody else was living on the low end in the hood where it was bussin at. Even as a kid back in 95 when I was being bussed to school on the northwest side I saw the different and change of scenery of the neighborhoods as u went west going up the numbers. Cats on that side of town saying “On da G” and throwing up the rakes knowing they weren’t from the hood. They got that behavior from the cats who were from the hood who had low income or mixed income moving into their neighborhoods that ultimately tainted their side of town. So I see what Shawn is saying how good areas can turn hood becuz ur moving into those areas and over time they will start to crumble.

Yes the history of Milwaukee gets interesting. Because a lot of people don't know what the west side of Milwaukee actually is and there was a point in time where black people only lived in the west side of Milwaukee. This is like in their 1950s and some of them lived in West line and a havenwood area but you did not see black people on the North side or east side just yet

Both have crime but the ghetto tends to be worse because people are angrier and hungrier. The worst ghettos I've seen are all in the Midwest and east coast.
