I just used Sayerlack Hydroplus AT 99 30 sheen, no crosslinker or hardener as I don't have air fed respiratory protection so I can't spray Isocyanates or Aziridine. Exact same problem with easy burnishing.

I had the same issue with a black island that the customer wanted in black. I put black 2k sb on and then did a 10 sheen clear over it. Came out perfect. No burnishing at all.

Joseph Wilson yeah solvent doesn’t have the issue just the Waterbase. Sounds like you have given up on Waterbase and are pretty much shooting solvent now.
