It's shocking she went downhill so fast. From what I can see she was out and about on her final day. It's painful for sure.

She had been declining for several weeks and the week she died her abdomen became huge and she would often not walk and moaned in pain. We were going to put her down the day before but suddenly she came alive the Saturday. Hopeful that she could make it to Christmas when our son would be home we put off the date to put her to sleep. By the night she was unable to walk and stopped eating and going to the bathroom and we put her to sleep the next day. It was similar to what occurs with people before they die sometimes, they have one last moment. It was wonderful for us knowing that she was so happy in her last days.

I'm so sorry. Our own dog was euthanized at home a week ago. She was 20 years old. I approach my front door after I have been out and still expect her to get all excited as I come inside, then remember she is not there anymore. I go to the supermarket and just out of habit go to get her food even though she is gone. The dog and my grown children all left home within a short space of each other, so its all very sad and strange now. I didnt know if I could open this video or whether it would make me too sad. It was a lovely tribute. Labradors are beautiful.

@@JenniferDoering - heart breaking seeing your son lay beside his dog. This was also my 22 year old son when our dog was euthanized. I was determined not to cry and upset everyone. Seeing her being carried out of the front door after the euthanazia, and leaving in a van to be cremated was the hardest part. I'm going to watch your hawaii video now to cheer myself up.
