Saying Goodbye to Bali - Leaving after 4 years

Bali has given me so much. I fell in love with this island for the first time seven years ago and vowed to return to live there. A couple years later that was my reality: from living in a home in the jungle of Ubud, to a tiny guest house in Canggu, and finally a villa that became my sanctuary and refuge.
I experienced so much growth during my time living on this island. When I arrived at 29 I still felt like a kid (or could fool myself into thinking that) and now at nearly 34 I am leaving a different man.
I have many mixed feelings about this island and whether I'll want to return in a significant way in the future, but regardless I'll always be grateful and proud of the time I lived here.
