@@T_1ne He made a video where he explained that they had to vacate the warehouse on short notice after a few months of trying to come up with some kind of arrangement. Not sure why they had to go, maybe they couldn't afford it any longer. So they just destroyed the skatepark to get the place empty and avoid having to pay rent till October 2026, if I understood correctly. No one (Ricky, Nigel, etc) was told it was getting destroyed. Also, allegedly a lot of Braille money went to Scientology, which Aaron is a member of, so his intentions with the company and the people in it were likely questionable from the beginning.

@@_o.O__ Given how much Aaron talks about wanting to grow skateboarding, as long as the park wasn't an absolute money pit and Braille overall was profitable he could still run the park to give people somewhere to skate. Its not unheard of for businesses to run part of the business at a loss because it provides an overall net benefit (e.g video game companies sell consoles at or below cost because they make more money selling games on online subscriptions). That said, I have no idea about the financials of Braille.

Man watching this when I was 17-19 I had just moved out I was scared and these videos were my home I was so deep into pills and alcohol and I never thought I’d be alive past 18 but here I am at 23 and seeing this it’s just hard I spent all day everyday for 2 yrs popping pills and watching the videos made here and skateboarding myself everyday with my friends that I was doing pills with havnt seen them since getting sober and staying away from all the bad influence I’m doing better now but it’s sad to remember all the memories these videos helped make me feel safe when I didn’t feel safe were I was living I always thought I would be robbed or killed I feel like watching this is kinda like letting go of that time of my life I’ve come so far it’s insane how different life is now in my own apartment my grandmother helps pay for I’m disabled and can’t work but for 3 yrs now made KZbin content Monday-Friday 9am and for the last year having this apartment has allowed me to cook my own food and eat properly and exercise on a daily basis and try and heal my messed up back I have scoliosis and Tourette’s syndrome and the ticking hurts my back and makes the scoliosis worse and I also have migraines that run in both sides of my family and I’ve had to deal with since I was in grade 1 Valentine’s Day I remember it like yesterday it was horrible and it’s been every couple weeks since But again I’m exercising and getting better it might take time but I’m not giving up Yes I smoke weed still and mix some tobacco it helps with my issues with no side effects unlike all the pills I’ve tried which lead to suicidal thoughts and then the dr threatens to lock me up and keep giving more pills until they stop the thoughts I’m not doing that I’m not a lab rat they tested pills on me since I was 8 I’m done let me just smoke the natural weed and be a bit extra hungry here and there I’m under weight and have always had issues with that and now with my own kitchen like I said cooking all my own food and exercise I’ve been able to put on a bit of muscle/size I’m super happy !!!

My son and I watched Braille religiously, for atleast a couple years. He was getting into skating and Braille was one of the main things we'd be watching when we put on KZbin. We watched the video Aaron posted last night, and I was a shocker. We hadn't watched Braille in awhile, but wasnt expecting this. It was sad seeing the Braille house getting demolished, but it wasnt till watching this video that I got a little tore up. Maybe its because my kiddo is at his aunts house and I alone lol, but definitely choked up a few times just watching Ricky riminess. Once it started hitting the rail...that got me bro...that got me.

after seeing Aaron's video it sounded like he was trying to keep it going so he couldn't make an actual "last skate day" if he didnt know when that day/week/month would of been. Letters in the mail are legit and you dont have options after the paper is in your hand. We should be glad he at least acknowledge anything about it at all, now knowing how much goes on behind the scene.

To be fair, Braille is still really small. Aaron is really the only “people at the top”. I just think he’s lost sight of what made braille what it is/was in the golden days. I have no issue with them doing what they need to do letting go of the warehouse, it’s just how he has approached it that’s honestly a bit disheartening. I also do believe he kept at least some of the boards at his home if I’m not mistaken.

Hey rick. I watched braille all the way from the time I was in 6th grade thinking about getting into skating to now being done with my freshman year of college and skating almost every day. I watched Braille grow and thrive. I am so sorry that Aaron did not inform you about the Braille House, but I am glad you got to go back one final time. I never got to skate the braillehouse but it is still very emotional for me to see my childhood memories all wiped out in a day. Just know that the skate community respects all that you have done for Braille, and that we support you no matter what you choose to do in the future. I would love to see the crew possibly form a new group where you guys post what YOU want when YOU want. I guarantee you that if you guys formed a new channel dedicated to just doing you guys, 95% of the brailleArmy would follow. Sad to see it end this way. Love you brother. Thank you for this video.

I'd love to see you, Uzi, JD, Gabe, Nigel, Glo, Mo, heck maybe even McNugg, everyone, skate together again sometime. Aaron created a great stepping stone, but he really changed a lot as a person. After reading into all of this, it's a shame he didn't set his priorities straight towards his company and employees. Feel for you man. thanks for going down there and especially filming a sesh. I was never the target audience for Braille but I deeply appreciate how many kids are on boards thanks to you all. despite all the (read: omg so much) controversy, a lot of good came out of the building. and how could it not? skateboarding is so simple but brings so much joy.

Im old and youse guys videos were a big part of me getting sober. Always extremely positive. Im not a skater just loved the vibes. I know certain elitist elements of the community of skaters throw shade on braille for one reason or another, but as a youtube channel its clean. This is sad. Hope it bounces back but I fear this may be the end. Good luck with your next gig Ricky.

So sad to see. I've never actually been a skateboarder, but watched Braille videos several times a week as a kid growing up in the UK. I remember them just being such a great time to watch, like a hangout with mates - and that's probably because of the authentic friendship between all you guys. I'm 21 now, and I'll admit I've not watched Braille or much skateboarding content for a few years. To see how Braille has crumbled, all due to the one guy who started it in the first place, is beyond sad. I can't imagine how it must feel for you guys

Despite falling away from braille in these past few years, it was comorting to see you guys in my feed. I could feel the tension in some videos and the struggle to stay relevant was always present despite you guys always had fun, always inspired. Its sad to see the park go but we remain the same, we still are skaters and always will be. To bigger and better things, to higher and prosperous ground. i was a middle school kid struggling with self confidence and friends and exercise when i first found Braille. a few weeks later i got myself my first skateboard and spent a lot of time of the next 2 years just working on getting stable on it, it was my primary method of transportation. its still alive, its got a shark on the deck, and it was one of the things that really helped me through that time where getting friends in a bad school was so so difficult. i ended up learning to ollie and bomb down small hills because it made it easier to get around thank you for those times.
