Exactly. It takes people over a decade to get that high in Scientology. He has been deep in this cult for a long time while lying to the outside world that it was "just a communication course" he took. That's a very common lie Scientologists use.

I completely agree that Scientology is absolute bullshit - but in my eyes, so is Chrisitianity and all the other religions. They all tell people what to think or do based on fictional stories, that's what religion is when seen from the outside. Just like if you're christian, it seems weird that muslims can't eat pork. (and that's fine! People can believe what they want) Can someone explain: Why are there so many comments about the Scientology-part of this, and not about the things Aaron actually did? Are people just mad because he has a different religion than them, or is there actually something objectively bad about scientology that makes it worse than other religions? The only other place I have heard of scientology is people saying that Tom Cruise is a scientologist. But he's still a beloved action star

ya! It makes me feel bad. Everyone would talk about how he was in scientology and it hadn't really come up or been on display for YEARS so I thought he either was just tangentially related, wasn't in that deep, or was slowly moving away from it. To hear he has been not only active but also moving his way up is really scary and I would've never watched his videos especially that he works withand makes videos for impressionable youth.

Most ironic thing is this: Aaron got into scientology by taking a communication cousre because before "he just wasnt able to communicate at all" and it changed his life. Years later he "disconnects" from close friends and buisness partners by just blocking/ghosting them. That communication course worked really well i guess.

12:00. Ricky, I don't think you will ever see this, but the foot breaking accident in June of Aaron's, he would get from Scientology some "handling" which makes him NAME who he thinks is "suppressing him". When a Scientologist has an accident, they will receive a "PTS Handling" which makes them name a single person who is "suppressing him." If Aaron has blocked you, then there is strong circumstantial evidence he named YOU the "suppressive" person to him. Sadly, Scientology will do this, and continues to make their members NAME suppressive persons in their lives, and then they get made to "handle or disconnect" from those suppressive persons to them. The big facts are, he broke his foot. And Scientology makes their members find "suppressive persons" in their lives. So sadly, if Aaron isn't talking to you, has blocked you, it might mean that yes, Scientology has forced him to consider you a "Suppressive Person" to him, and he's now disconnected from you. Chuck Beatty ex Sea Org (lifer dupe) of Scientology 1975-2003, quit in 2004.

Besides a few skaters I mostly stopped watching braille 9 years ago when I randomly got a scientology ad featuring aaron uploaded in 2009 (that ad is still up if you search for it). At that point he still seemed like a decent guy, but I had already hated scientology because of what they did to Isaac Hayes the voice of chef on south park. At the time I understood that being a scientologist wasn't a deal breaker for most people because our first reaction is to respect one's religious rights. I never thought this would be the downfall of Braille, but it seems scientology made him a worse person over time and this was the end result

From someone who has learned the hard way: Don’t do business with Scientologists, just don‘t, no matter how nice they are. Sometimes higher up Scientologists will come and override business decisions, knowing nothing but squeezing out short term gain and manipulative tactics. People I considered long time friends stared at me with blank eyes and repeated the same sentence to any question I had. They knew it was stupid, but they did what they were told. One CEO then refused to follow the Scientology line because it was not good, he was gone for weeks, got electro shock treatments, came back a broken man and his wife became CEO. Don‘t do business with Scientologists. The „church“ can take over any time.

I don’t mean to start problems, but I was with Aaron at our Scientology group meeting a few days ago. He seemed bummed and people were asking him whether or not he’d “released it”. I do not know what that meant. I was new to the group and have since decided it’s not for me and it’s pretty much a money laundering pyramid scam that uses tough psychological tricks to guilt people into doing their bids. I don’t know Aaron personally but he was definitely there and was sitting next to some higher ranking members. I tried not to listen but I know I kept hearing them talking about “releasing it”. What “it” is I am not certain but this situation and my encounter seem too coincidental to not be related. I think they have him under intense guilt ridden psychological control. He probably needs a dose of reality and some close friends to intervene. I don’t know.

Abandonment without a sense of closure is such a harsh reality. When a relationship fails and you don't have closure, you have to somehow give yourself that closure. The scars are real, but one day you will look back at all of this as just a chapter in your story. Regarding scientology, or any cult for that matter. There is this disconnect between free thought, and action. I am all for freedom to practice whatever you choose... Up until it causes harm to another person, be it physically, or emotionally. For me therapy was a really great way to help overcome and give myself the sense closure I needed. End of the day that is all you can control. I wish you all the best.

Its deeper than that, bud. Scienfuckery literally has an excommunication doctrine called "Suppressive Persons", or " SP" for short. And when people challenge anything in the "tech" (what they call their whack job teaching) they are immediately branded an "SP", and they are fully excommunicated from that persons life. Which is why all of his videos are gone. Because he was labeled and SP by Aaron, and he was similarly removed from his existence. I just recently learned of Kyro's involvement in scientology, and it fills in a LOT of gaps that I had regarding him, and why I always felt there was something "off" about him. Damn shame.

My parents were involved in Scientology when I was a kid/early teen in the early 80s. The "church" were encouraging their members to cut ties with non-members even back in those days . . .regardless of whether they were friends, family or colleagues. Anyone who expressed disagreement or showed resistance to Scientology was called a "squirrel" and demonized as an enemy of personal growth. Super creepy and manipulative - if their ideas were so amazing, they would be very upfront about all of it. My parents got out over 30 years ago, and the "church" still calls, mails and emails trying to get my parents to come back.

If AK was gonna step back from the church, he would’ve done so early on. Like when he finally started seeing independent success and creating a social circle. But he’s probably had a pretty decent time there and never felt compelled to leave. There’s a reason for that… Scientology treats ppl as commodities. Famous/wealthy (read: useful) members are treated very well. Aaron is very *useful*. He built up a huge potential pipeline to a new generation. One of Scientology’s enduring features is proselytizing through front groups. They need to do this- very little engagement comes from Scientology’s actual religious tenets. In fact, you can probably blame LRH for making it so hard to take seriously bc he couldn’t help injecting absurd, 1950s style pulp sci-fi elements into church doctrine. The organized foundation of Scientology is, and always has been, about (1) cash and (2) influence. And Aaron Kyro has what they want.

Hey Ricky, I went through a similar situation where my friend out of nowhere texted me saying he didn’t wanna be close friends anymore. I was heartbroken, I still saved his text and my response to it somewhere but I refrain from looking at it, but just something I wanted to keep. It was the same with me where it left a sour taste on all the good memories, it really was a shame. I’d rather we drifted naturally than a formal text stating such, but anyway. What helped me get through was taking it one day at a time. Things here and there reminded me of him and I would be sad again but nowadays it doesn’t bother me as much. I still wonder what things could’ve been like but I try to imagine that everything happens for a reason, and I try to remember to be glad it happened (the good times) than be sad it’s over. Yo Ricky, I think you articulated yourself extremely well! Major props for that. There is something you need to understand about individuals who are beholden to beliefs such as Aaron's. The entire belief system of this particular group is not built upon a shared collected vision of something, it is built on isolation. The first thing they are taught is any idea that goes against what is being taught is wrong and must be removed. That lesson creates a vacuum that is almost impossible to escape from. So despite Aaron's outward chill appearance, EVERYONE he interacts with is being heavily speculated and judged so he can determine if they are enemies, there is no in-between. It truly sucks that happen because you all built something so positive and connecting, that seeing it destroyed means the positivity was never the goal. I hope you find peace from experience and take only the good with you. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Ricky, I’m so sorry to hear about what you’re going through. You have always been a huge inspiration, not just in skateboarding but also in showing how to enjoy and cherish life and friendships. The honesty, integrity, and efforts toward reconciliation that you’re demonstrating only add to the true legacy of goodness that we’ve all been enjoying-and hope to continue enjoying-with you on your journey as a skater and as a person. 🌟 Keep that integrity strong. Don’t feel bad for trying to make things right or for holding others accountable for their mistakes. If they are open to growth, they will be thankful for good-hearted criticism. Keep those good values you hold close to your heart alive; they truly help goodness continue to grow. 🌱 Don’t let those values go, no matter what. Goodness will keep growing, and the journey you’re on will only become more meaningful. Best wishes all the way from Barcelona! 🚀

Every single person who is a part of Scientology is evil. All of this is devastating and just shows that Aaron doesn't care about skateboarding anymore. He's too far gone, and it's sad. Thank you Rick and everyone else on the team who spent years giving us awesome content and making our days better. Our days suck again, but I hope you guys keep on shredding. It was a pleasure watching you since day one. Our daily fix of you guys playing skate and just having fun are over, and we can all thank Aaron Kyro for that. I hope someday Aaron thinks back to all those times he went to public skate parks and made all those kids happy and made their days and made them feel good. I hope he thinks back to what he gave up all for a cult. What a shame.

It's disgusting. I hate the fact that this cult has taken advantage of Aaron's insecurities about himself as a person. Imagine all of the things that he could have done with all of the money he has wasted on that cult. Imagine all of the bridges he has burned because of their psychological tactics, to ensure that there is nobody in their victim's lives to help get them out of the cult... it's almost criminal. The drive is to make money.. but the level of manipulation seems criminal. It's really hard when you care.
