As this video is so special, I have to tell my (our) f type story in here: In 2016 my dad and I came across the manual f type. We’re both petrolheads and love car. He especially loves English cars and had quite a few (now) classic English cars. In April 2016 we went to the nearest jaguar dealer and asked if we could drive one. It was amazing. The sound, the quality, just the feeling of this car was amazing! My dad wasn’t comfortable to buy one at that time though so the only thing we took with that visit was the memory and some videos. Years go by and some time later my grand dad leased an f type SVR convertible. It was to this day one of the craziest cars he had (an he had quite a lot of cool cars: Maserati gran Tourismo, M6 V10, VW Phaeton W12, Bentley continental supersport, and so on). I drove it a few times (i was 17 at that time and was only allowed to drive it with my dad hahaha😂 The experience driving this car was out of this world. The sound was so obnoxious and loud it was not comprehensible… Then a year or so later, my dad and I found a British racing green f type coupe with beige interior AND the manual transmission, with just 2300km or so, basically brand new! Turned out to be a car used for the jaguar driving experience and was completely fu**ed. interior was in bad shape, already got new brakes, and it definitely didn’t feel like it was having anywhere near 380PS. Time then went by again and someday my dad, my little brother and me went to the jaguar dealer again just for fun to look and later go shopping in town. As we got there we were confronted with the salesperson saying: if you really want to order one with a manual, you have to do so until next week Tuesday. After that we have no possibility to order the pre facelift anymore (this was October 2019). On the one hand we went away gutted since buying a car this spontaneous was not in our mind AT ALL. We basically knew, this was it. The next days my dad was so unsure what he should do. He could afford it to get one but spending this much money on a car „just because a manual can’t be ordered anymore“ wasn’t feeling right for him. At first! Because after going back and forth like a million times , he pulled the trigger. This was absolutely crazy for us, especially me as well. Because I knew, this might be the last time in my life that I was able to experience buying a new car in that category. (Even though I wasn’t the one who pays) Fast forward about 3,5 months and we could collect the car of my dads dreams! A brand spanking new, custom specced British racing green manual f type with dark brown sport seats and everything important that an enthusiasts car has to bring. He enjoys it everytime he drives it, even though he only made about 10.000km in it. After speaking to the guys at the f type factory in castle Bromwich we found out, that our car was one of the last 3 manual f types EVER produced and THE actual last one with this spec. Approximately 1200 manual types were ever produced he told us. This car will never ever leave the garage and this year, we’re doing a roadtrip with it to the Goodwood festival of speed! I can’t wait for it!! So yeah, I can definitely share the absolute passion and specialness of the F Type and for me it will be the most timeless and beautiful looking car ever made! If you read until here, thanks 😊 and Incase you’re interested in seeing some pictures of the car, you can look up @brg_ftype on instagram. I’ve uploaded a few pictures there!

An cinematic masterpiece. Beautiful camera work. We share the same emotional attachment to the F-Type. I first saw the launch video as a 29 year old up at the Gaydon Jaguar test track in 2013. I promised myself there and then, that one day, I would own one. I'm now 4 years into ownership of my F-Type and just paid her off in full last week. A life long keeper. Memories of driving to Le Mans 24 with my dad, twisting through the Scottish highlands with my wife, my two little girls asking if it's their turn it is to ride in daddy's car. Irreplaceable, priceless memories. As a lad who grew up on an East London council estate, kept my head down, worked hard and got lucky along the way, it's a dream I never dared to dream as a kid. Thank you Ian Callum. Thank you Jaguar.

My late grandfather had an F type, a beautiful v6 s coupe in white. The shapes of the car and the way it sounded evoked something really special, beyond that of the Porsches and other sports cars I was lucky enough to have owned and experienced. I had loosely committed to getting myself one ever since my first ride in his. After his funeral my grandmother gave me a book of my grandpa’s on F types, with no knowledge of how I was feeling about these cars and the invisible bond it had created between me and my grandpa. Seeing your video today was incredibly emotional. I will be getting an F type. Thank you for creating something that has helped solidify the connection I shared with my grandpa over cars and his F Type.
