Actually, as an italian, you didn't have to put an accent on because most of those words are pronounced the same. For example, borsa sound more italian when you said it in somali because when you said it in italian you had an irrealistic accent which is Just a stereotype of how Italians sound (?) Idk of it makes sense. Great video tho! :) I'm happy to see somali ppl don't hate us italians

Somali kids learnt Italian as a second language till 1960. I remember a video where a Somali man sang an Italian classic track "Questo Piccolo Grande Amore" of Claudio Baglioni. These words are not a random signs, it reflects the trace of Italian colonialist: the bakery (gelato), the hotel (borsa) or furniture (armadio). If you want to read something about this, one of the Masterpiece of Italian Literature, Time to Kill (Tempo di Uccidere) by Ennio Flaiano, is located in Somali during the Colonialism Period. There is also a film. Bye!

No doubt my friend there is more than just a similarity, most of the words are exactly the same. I'm Neapolitan and my language is way more different to the italian than your italian/Somali. My grandfather was in Somalia and Ethiopia for many years during the war than he was arrested by the English and after few months of a concentration camp he was forced to leave and go back to italy.
