Hello Emma. I'm determined to lose this weight. I am tired of going up and down. The best way I've found for me is to; no sugar, no fats, no carbs, no soda, processed foods. I get the best benefits if I eat small meals several times a day. I try for fifteen minutes at night on my stationary bike. I've seen my Dr. about two months ago and have lost 12lbs. since. I've got a lot to loose and I am aiming for 135 lbs. This is fun having a bunches of ladies/men from all over the world doing some kind of challenge together. Yes! I'm definitely doing this. 30 minutes a day, swimming or treadmill. Squats and hand weights 3x a week. I'm super stoked others are joining in. We can do it together.

Hi Emma- My kids and I did a bunch of decluttering this week. We’re donating 7 bags of clothes, 2 bags of bedding, 5 boxes of books, 2 bags of tote bags, some shoes and some hangers. 😊

I will do one big job a day ie, defrost second chest freeze did the first one, clean the oven , put clothes away ect , Best of luck on your challenges . Mind we go away the 6th July to Cornwall . Oh and I am going to be taking paint off woodwork in the hall which is going to be a big job so include that in my daily challenge .

Hello Emma! I'm already in a recomposition journey, but I've been sick for a week, so I guess I can join your challenge going back to the gym! 😊 For your decluttering I think you should start to group together things that are similar or themed, such as all the sewing stuff, all the gardening/plants, so you know where to look and nothing get lost. I love learning that you have a bit of mischief in you as far as wanting to put something in someone's house and then recorded by taking a picture! My dad washed one of my shirts last week, it reads aunt and has my three nieces and nephews names on it, and put it away in my mom's closet. She came out of her room with it on. So I took a picture of it and sent it to my nephew asking him what was wrong. Of course the little bugger hasn't answered!

I’m 56 and have arthritis everywhere. I’m 5’4” 140 pounds and my challenge will be walking 4 miles a day ❤

Hi Emma, great idea saying No. When i go shopping i buy health food but when it come to the biscuits & chocolate aisle that when i fail. I've started swimming again and going to start doing more exercise cut down on coffee and drink more water.❤

@@gettingtidy2495 After 2 trips to A&E and umpteen tests, I am slowly improving. A mystery "virus"......urgh. Cancelled our holiday too, but hey ho, I am alive! I now can catch up with your videos over the rainy weekend. xox

Hi Emma, I’m one of your Australian subscribers. I live in Tasmania which is Australia’s only island state and the most southerly 😁. I’m a recently retired nanny to 3 gorgeous grandchildren 2 boys and a girl). I’m enjoying following your getting tidier journey. I’m wanting to start exercising too and intend to do 5000 steps a day to start with and building up from there, good luck to you and everyone starting this challenge 😁.

Hi Emma, thanks for the call out 😁. My wonderful grandsons are 9 and 3.5 and my gorgeous granddaughter is 14 weeks old 💙💙🩷. We had the 3.5 year old here for a sleepover and chasing him about definitely helped me get to 5000 steps today lol 😁.

I absolutely love the idea of saying No daily... makes me think I need to say YES more to my children and with my Hubby and say NO to any work related, treats and 😅 schedule, to allow Margin in our calendar.😅😂

10,000 steps, so far today I'm at 7,689 so maybe I'm going to fall short today, but we'll see, I do have svt, ( supraventricular tachycardia) I had a cardiac ablation August last year, but even though they said it was successful I'm still getting episodes last night I had one for 20 mins at 211bpm, leaves me sore and anxious, exercise can trigger it sometimes ,normally I go on a go slow for a day or two after an episode but I was up and walking today because I wanted to get my steps in haha! I found it very liberating though not letting the nerves about what might happen get the best of me so I'm in a good mood today feels like I'm taking back control, I'm in to see the cardiologist on the 24th to see if I need another ablation sometimes it does take two to finally cure it. I had both my hips replaced when I was 36 due to arthritis from childhood, so walking is no longer painful, just got to get my svt under control and I'll be all sorted maybe I'll take up swimming again once my fitness levels return, so 10,000 steps a day and each step is a step closer to a life without restrictions! I'm also on holiday for 2 weeks on the 13th July, we're going to Whitby which we love so, I'll just about get my 30days in.

P.S I'm also going to keep better hydrated I drink only water but some days, I don't drink as much as I'd like, and moisturise more than once a week!

Sounds like you are taking control but you could also aim for 8,000 rather than 10,000. You don't want to push yourself too much. You've done really well today but you need to be careful. Never been to Whitby. We'll be on holiday at a similar time as I'm away in a month too!

@@gettingtidy2495 Thank you Emma, you're right of course 8,000 steps sounds more realistic, I'm just below 7,600 so far today, and made 8,244 yesterday so think I'll go for 8,000 and anything more is a bonus, I keep forgetting I turned 51 6 days ago, but I don't think I'm doing bad considering. Whitby is a lovely place you should visit one day, lots of historical things to see, home of captain cook and Bram Stokers Dracula, there's the 199 steps leading to St Hildas Whitby Abbey 7th century and St Marys is 12th Century and beautiful inside, miles of beaches and you can still go looking for famous Whitby Jet as worn by Queen Victoria, the old streets and cobbles are similar to York ones, Robin Hoods Bay, and Staithes are nearby too well worth a visit. Lets hope the weather picks up for our holidays, although I think in Italy you'll be enjoying the lovely sunshine!

Will start in July after all the construction is finished here. Challenges: no spend July on anything but essentials; 10,000 steps throughout the day, walking the halls. Pool is open, so will figure out how to get to it with my family members who are visiting from the States.

I was just wondering if you could put a cork board on your pantry door and also move that table from near the front door that you have been wanting to sell and put it under your units. That way you could keep things there instead of on the end of your side that's visible from the front door.

Maybe you could also keep a box or a bag underneath there to hold "maybe" items we've talked about before. For example, the items you decided not to return to your units. Can you tell my OCD has came out to play today? This week we sorted our pots & pans cupboard, I helped my mom declutter her closet & drawers and I sorted my bags. Loads to donate! This from someone who has peeled lots and lots of layers!

I try to do Dana's k white method of doing the dishes daily. We'll I would say I am at 80% daily, however what hangs me up is my dishwasher doesn't dry, so I have to open the door and allow air dry, which hangs me up on dishes, so I get lazy and surprise this am, sink full and doing dishes along with you ❤🎉❤

Every evening if it's not too hot or raining, my mom and I take our ATV out around the farm. It's nice for us to get out that way and we also take the dogs for a run. I have started seeing more and more thistles, so when I do I will get out and cut all the thistles I can see. Since my mom was in the hospital part of last week she hadn't seen me do this. So as soon as we got home she had to go tell my dad that I have a new habit and that I am more OCD than he is. 😂

I forgot to finish by saying that in addition to my toning/weight exercises 3-4x/wk for the next 30ish days, I will cut thistles ... and tree limbs that impede the path! I will start on Monday, June 16, and take a break from July 10 - July 13 when we have company. - I loved your comment about cans of beans!

Two suggestions -- Set a timer on your phone for every day so you remember to track your steps. I would use the bed in your spare room to collect all of the things you want to sell.

It's for vegetable peelings,I wash mine out well after then put my cutlery in when I've washed them. It has many uses really.
