You forgot one thing never let the police call for tow truck they will send it to the impound. You have to say I will get my own tow truck so it doesn't get impounded. I don't know this years ago.

In my state, if they see a cell phone in the car they will have the documents to call the cell phone company and get your records to see if you were texting or on the phone.
