NO ONE has EVER sung this song with more emotion and dynamics. A lot of belters love to belt it out and show off their voice and some of them perform it very melodramatically. Adrian ACTS this song out so naturally. How does a 14 year old boy have the emotional intelligence to sing as though he is a pregnant woman in her 30s with an abusive husband, who realizes she's not who she was and her life is not what she thought it would be. I stan Shoshana Bean, Jeremy Jordan and Sara Bareilles but NO ONE sings this song better than this child. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way little Adrian sings this song.

True! I've seen most if not all versions here on yt and yes some were impeccable, I even thought Jessie Mueller's rendition will be my forever favorite but this kid made me cry more than Jessie's version. I still love Jessie's version but I just like this a little more.

I assume you know by now he is 14 and was invited by the cast because his video of the song went 4 million viral. And last year he sang a number with Sarah Bareilles at a concert. Adrian Matthew. (The lighting is because he was just called in from backstage; and I'm not sure he even knew he was going to be onstage...) And yes, the kid has an incredible voice and looks like he did most of it in character too.
