Alot of the people they get up on stage and just sing the song, they may sound amazing but if you cant get the crowd to feel and connect to the character you are portraying then your failing the production. This kid actually connects to the song and emotes and acts that's what will make him a Broadway star.
@justanotherguy38502 жыл бұрын
Even as a man on KZbin as I am I am brought to tears hearing him sing it as well as Lucy Jones. Or Sara Bareilles. That's the sign of a professional or at least a singer when they can engage you and stop your brain from thinking about whether or not the kids are getting their homework done at home or that paper you have to write for work tomorrow. They capture your heart and soul and it comes bubbling out of your eyes. That's because it's pure joy. Your heart stop speeding for a moment. And then you belong to the song.

this is the best version (of non-broadway singers) that i've heard ever. there were no over-the top embellishments, no tricks for scaling, just pure clean notes with such raw emotion especially at the end. I know this song is meant to be sung by a broken pregnant woman. However, a friend sent me the lyrics in an email before I saw they play and I interpret the lyrics differently. The life growing inside me was my own! For many years I refused to admit who I AM because of where and how I was raised. Suicide was a serious option for me until I heard this song. I know what the song means in terms of the musical and how powerful it is, but I thank Sarah for writing this for other reasons. Music has the power to heal and help! Never forget that!!! May god bless you all and I hope you love the life YOU were meant for, and not the one others say you should!

A ‘Waitress 2’ musical about a young man/teen boy (who was once a player but after some bad things happen to him such as losing his parents tragically, he changed and thus gets a job) working at a restaurant who gets a child dropped off at his doorstep and is struggling to raise his child because he was there with no warning, written with completely new music except it brings back this song. And a love interest? You got it. Cue an older, happier Jenna in her bakery with her shy teenage/young adult daughter at the end of the musical after the young man has finally learned to love himself and hint at the love interest at the very end.

Spectacular vocals aside...I’m amazed at how he can feel the lyrics, and the music and convey the emotion that comes with it...this early on. Some people never learn that. They just sing, and that takes away some of the meaning of the song... I look forward to everything this young man has to offer 💚💙

His heart is gold, and the story was told long before he channeled his vocals in the direction of heaven! Some need training for unnatural talent that reaches the boundaries of the top charts, yet only touches you until the next great star comes along! This boy is not a star, no! He is a BEACON! anyone can guide his confidence, but the gift was already there! Maybe he can train you!

He sang this song like he composed it on the spot, convincingly sharing the hard truths about a woman that he new who was flawed, but longing to be loved only to find herself at the mercy of a heartless man. I cannot stop replaying this perfect mixture of raw emotion, combined with the sweet, sometimes gritty but overall soulful vocals of this rising talent who demonstrated all the appropriate gestures and expressions that marked this as a genuinely moving tribute on his side as well as mine. And yes, water somehow keeps getting in my eyes everytime I watch him perform and I soak up the reactions of the Broadway actors around him as well as hear the audiences reactions. They all keep pulling me in and I don't mind it at all. So Bravo to this wonderfully talented young man, I can't wait to see him shine again.
