Yeah, this girl has a great figure, most things would look pretty good on her. Idk why the consultant is acting like she has some incredibly unusual body type that will be hard to dress. If someone was actually 6'1" and a size zero like the model she described, that girl would have a much harder time shopping at Kleinfeld! I'm 5'10" and already have to order extra length for formal gowns. Not to mention that size at that height would be very underweight, you'd have to pick a gown to mask bony arms and collar bone, bony hips, lack of curves, etc.

Funnily enough I have done many wedding shows including a few for Kleinfeld's and most I had to wear ballet flats as I was too tall for the dresses. And yes I do have bony hips and a lack of curves but muscular arms and a perfectly fine collar bone if I do say so myself. I am 6ft 1, have a 37 inch inseam and weigh 145lbs but most of the dresses those wedding shows push for 5-figure costs fit me fine so hence all the clips they use to fit these ladies.

I remember watching Claudia and thinking,”This isn’t going to work out.” She didn’t take instruction from her bosses very seriously. She always thought her way was the right way. In one of the episodes when Consultants’ sales numbers were being reviewed it was evident Claudia needed to heed the guidance she was expected to learn from. She never did. “…at the end of the day…” REALLY drove me up a wall. I always wondered if she was more successful in a smaller salon, or maybe a different type of sales.

Yes she forgot to ask for the budget (big no no!) and tried a little to hard to work solo to prove herself, but she was friendly and had more of a bestie type of vibe giving direct feedbacks like "this isn't going to look as good as you think" which actually works for me. Lots of clients went and looked for the dresses by themselves, why are we surprised that they did that too?

When a customer is going to be shopping for such a special (and expensive) item, ask tons of questions: White? Winter white, cream, blush , cool white, other, etc? Bling? Big bling? Little bling? Where do you want bling? No bling? Beading? Victorian? Art deco? 80s ? Venue? Time of day? Season of year? General dress code? What fabric? What waist? What skirt? What neck? What sleeves? Any other details, like family heirlooms that will be worn? Jewelry, veil, etc? Did you bring pictures for inspiration? How will you wear your hair? ------ Seriously, a consultant should be doing a full CIA interrogation before pulling the first dress.
