because the wedding isn't just about the bride. it's about the family. and if some of your family hates what you're wearing, personally that would make me feel very awkward. i had my mum at my dress fittings and she had some good opinions and actually pushed me out of my comfort zone. i wanted a gown with sleeves. she convinced me to get a trumpet with a see-through skirt and train and straps. and i have to admit. it's a beautiful dress and not something i would have ever tried on. personally this whole attitude about it's the bride's day or only the bride's opinion matters is very self centered. if you want to get married for you, go to town hall. if you want to get married for your family, have the big party.

If someone doesn't like what I'm wearing then they can shove it and go have their own wedding in the dress they like. When I got married I bought the dress myself and was completely happy with my choice. No one said anything and things were perfectly fine. The dress isn't about the whole family, they're not the ones wearing the dress. Notice how in almost every episode the consultants have to remind the family that the bride needs to be happy in what she's wearing, not the family. The bride is the one that's going to keep the pictures of their wedding for the rest of their life, not the family. You can take into account people's opinion if you want, but I definitely don't think that family members should dictate what you wear on your day. The day is supposed to be about you and the person you're marrying. You're joining two families together, yes, but the dress fitting and the dress is about the bride and what she wants. You can say it's selfish all you want, and it is, because it's not about them, it's about the couple getting married. This is their day, not the families. The reception is a celebration for the families being joined, but the whole picture is the couple. This is their day. If someone has an opinion then they can go have their own day. In my opinion you're a spineless, push over, people pleaser if you don't do what you want on your wedding day. You and your spouse need to do what will make you happy, not other people. One of my friends told me that she didn't want to have the reception at a popular Italian restaurant in town (after my husband and I already reserved it) because she wanted to have some type of cookout with HER favorite foods (and it'll have more running room for her kid who was not invited). I told her that she doesn't have to come then because me and my husband wanted italian. If someone doesn't like what we're doing then they don't have to come and that will show their loyalty as our friends. Our wedding was not about people pleasing, it was about us celebrating being together and becoming one. So we did things that we enjoyed. My friend ended up coming, and she didn't complain once she understood that the reception was not about her, it was about me and my husband.

Sometimes they're able to work with the sales team and designer and get discounts for the bride if it's something they love and haven't had any luck with the dresses at a lower budget. Their goal is to make sure the bride walks out with a dress, because any sale is better than no sale, even if they don't profit as much as they initially priced at.

I have no idea what it is called....but once before on a short dress they put on a lacy half skirt...that went in the back right waist to left waist...and the front was left short...looked very classy. To me...this was way too flimsy and thin for a skirt

Soooo disappointed. That first dress was 100% perfect for her!! Her husband would have been utterly floored if she had picked that one. It was jaw-droppingly stunning on her. She looked like a goddess, a heaven-sent vision, a fairy, too ephemeral and beautiful to be real.

I meaaaaan, everyone have his own opinions on things, but (in my own opinion) no one has the right to force someone else to pick something that is not the bride s taste, if she wants to show her tattoos let her be ! it s HER DAY, no one want to regret something that wasn't done the way we want on OUR DAY. It s all about the bride and the groom, if they love the tattoos so be it! why interfere, it s her happiness that matters. I might be wrong but that's what i think.

Can't believe this is even a topic. Adult enough to start a family - be adult enough to stand for yourself when choosing a frock. Not adult enough to have relationships with parents, siblings, friends or whoever YOU chose to bring along to give you feedback sorted - you should be rethinking things big time before rushing into something you're obviously not ready for.

The first dress looked gorgeous.,the second Reem Accra if it was long would be really pretty. I think a fuller tulle skirt on that second dress would’ve been gorgeous. That dress looked more like a reception dress or a courthouse wedding dress.
