@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj that's called settling & you acknowledged that in the first sentence... people who feel like their time is running out, will settle for less ie the first guy that comes along & is a "good man". Reminds me of "Little House on the Prairie" days... "you gonna marry him Laura? He's a good man & you won't do better!"... She likely isn't happily married, she's complacent. BIG difference, but it can look better than tolerable, because the person has their securities in place thinking it's what's expected. People stay with people, even marry people, they don't actually LOVE. They just love what that person does FOR them, & even if they're not truly fulfilled, they won't say anything... I can speak from a very clear place, considering my parents did this...

...And he is letting her decide what she wants to wear. Are you going to say the same thing if the bride decides on the colors of the groom's suit? Isn't he old enough to decide for himself too? Yet lots of brides make those decisions instead of the grooms. It is not a crime for the groom to be interested in what HIS and her wedding will look like. Especially since, after he made his own opinion about her dress, she decided on her own which dress she would wear. And he didn't complain. I don't understand why women today can't let men be themselves. We want our opinions heard, but we can't take it when með do the same. There is a disconnect here.

He's what? Are you a psychiatrist? If not, you are diagnosing someone from an EDITED video from 2 hours in their lives. Would you like us to watch a part of your life and label you something? No. He didn't say that she couldn't wear her pick. What is wrong with that? If a bride is picking out what the grooms wear in their wedding day and blows down the groom's opinion, do you also call her a narcissist and tell him to run? I don't think so. So it is not a crime for him to be extremely interssted in what she is wearing. He still "lets" her make her own decision, which is a lot more than lots of brides do for their grooms on their wedding days. So you and all these other people stop throwing out these words when you are not capable of properly diagnosing these people. You wouldn't want people to label you with personality disorders via your comments, yes?

“I’m not 100% sure we’re perfect for each other.” 👀 🚩👀🚩👀🚩👀🚩👀🚩👀 If these two made it to the alter, that marriage didn’t last. Plus, I’ve found the older the bride is, the more simple she wants in a wedding gown. When my great-grandfather remarried after my great-grandmother passed away, his new wife (90yo) wore a simple ivory dress suit. No fancy fabric or beadwork, and she wore a simple pearl necklace. She did have her hair done, and she had a bouquet of flowers. It was a sweet ceremony.

@samanthac.3498 ай бұрын
@@mariesmith1616 I was just saying that the older a woman gets, the less embellishment she wants in a gown. A lot of girls want huge ballgowns when they’re young. As they get into their early 20s, it changes to an A-line, then a decade after that they want a more form-fitting or simple gown without any underskirts. I’ve noticed this pattern on all of the American versions of SYTTD. I haven’t watched enough of the international versions to say it’s universal. My point is that a 37yo woman is not likely to want a puffy ballgown. Also, my great-grandfather’s second wife passed away at 97. I’d too be impressed if she could change her PJs at 99.

The second bride dress is gorgeous! The way the dad smiled and said nice things about it. Oh so sweet. Wish I had like she does. She’s one lucky lady!

Love the dress she chose. Poof is good for young girls but her dress is very elegant and suits her.

i love how this set of staff is like "well, if she's determined to have the groom here, we'll allow it..." and then there's Randy. no hesitation, he just goes "nope, we have to ask you to GET OUT. this is the bride's moment. you can have a moment when you pick *your* dress."

Soooo many red flags with the first fiancé. My ex fiancé was very particular about what my wedding dress would look like also. I’m convinced it’s a sign of a controlling man. Thank god he’s my ex

My x hated my dress. Eons ago. Twenty somethings we were. All lace Victorian ballgown. Garden wedding. I should have gotten an annulment. This gal is headed for a lifetime of misery if she marries someone for " we both enjoy the night life, he makes me laugh." ( GF just about anyone innebriated can make us laugh.) 🤪🍻

Good for her for sticking to what she wants! If he likes the poofy dress so much, he can buy his own. He doesn't need to manipulate his fiance into getting it so he can wear it later.
@catladyfromky41428 ай бұрын
He's not manipulating her. He cares about the dress because it is also his wedding and he will also see the photos. Would you say that, if a bride picked out the groom's groomsmen suits that he needed to run and that she just wanted to wear it later? Lots of brides do that. Should you call them all closet lesbians? I don't know if you meant to denigrate him for being interesties in fashion, but you did. I wasn't aware that the groom didn't get to participate in his own wedding plans. Yes, he has a strong opinion about the silhouette. But she got the dress she wanted. Where is the problem? That they disagreed on something? Oh no! That should never happen in a MARRIAGE!
@lillimay987 ай бұрын
@@catladyfromky4142 The sheer amount of comments I've seen you leave on people calling this guy out is concerning. Unless you are/know this guy you are way too invested in how people view him. You keep saying "what if the bride picked the grooms suit" as if her not valuing his opinion on his attire isn't viewed as equally shitty. The reason a lot of brides pick the suit is because a lot of men don't care and would rather leave the work to her, not because his opinion doesn't matter. If the groom truly does care what he wears and the bride came in being like "I'm princess charming. We're not here to pick out a suit for him, we're here to pick out a suit for me. I understand he wants that style but I want this style." then yes it would be a problem...just like it is that this groom did exactly that. Yes she got the dress she wanted but not without him trying to make it all about him first. The problem isn't the result it's his attitude right up until the very last second which, let's be honest, probably only changed because this is a TV show. There is a difference between having an opinion and pushing your opinion on someone. "I liked the other one but does this one makes you happy?" VS "I liked the other one, are you sure you don't wanna put the other one on again?" One is supporting her opinion while voicing his, the other is pushing his while undermining hers. Which one is closer to what he said? Also why the hell are you bringing sexuality into this? Nothing in the original comment called him gay, unless you think a man buying a poofy dress makes him gay in which case your outraged respons is very hypocritical.
