I would like to thank TLC/say yes to the dress for letting us get to see her walking down the aisle. While it wasn't the full wedding, it is more than normal and I am thankful they let us see the warrior's victory walk!

Thank you for that comment…I contracted bacterial meningitis which turned the fibromyalgia I had to the worst any specialist has seen and triggered a cascade of autoimmune disorders, leaving me severely disabled. I’m also a warrior woman and no amount of effort or will change what it did to my body. It did and does help me come terms with and accept it and live a good, if difficult, life.

I also had a series of accidents that left me with multiple brain injuries and left me battling a lot but never give up even if life will never be the same and can't walk without aids like my walker. It's taken years to come to terms with it but I know that I give my all no matter what. I went through 3yrs of rehab to get to where I am and still battle with tons of issues including autoimmune diseases that cause blackouts giving me more brain injuries when I hit my head on something. So I get it that it's not what we'd want but we still battle every day even if we don't get healing to that extent. I'm incredibly thankful for every day as I know it's a miracle to even be alive at all

Nearly 20 years ago my good friend was also told by the doctor that she wouldn’t walk. She listened to another doctor who told her Don’t Give Up. Tell those legs to move, to to move, to move. She was in some studies for various treatments to learn about spinal cord injury. She balances and walks today. She uses two walking sticks, but this woman is walking! Hang in ther. That determination will do wonders.

Good for her, way to go! 👏 I have a similar story: a very good friend was in a terrible accident about 30 years ago. After coming out of two-week coma, he was told that he would never walk again. He needed a lot of physical therapy, but he walked on his own less than a year later. He's 63 now and doesn't have as much as a limp. A true warrior. This young woman is amazing! I wish her and her husband the best of luck, forever and ever. ❤

I thought the first strapless dress was beautiful on her. BUT when she had the last dress on and was wheeled around to the camera, I got goosebumps all over. That has never happened to me in all the episodes I've watched. Such a beautiful person with enormous strength. Seeing her walking down the aisle brought tears to my eyes. Probably because she only had a month left before her big day? (They have other brides' alterations to do, too). Also I'm guessing straps added as an afterthought (instead of a structural part of the existing dress) likely aren't able to hold much weight (they're more for show/ modesty).

It's good that she is able to find the right dress. The woman I bought my Persian from was deemed a quadriplegic at 16 in a freak car accident where the sunroof fell in on her. She managed to learn to walk after a long time. She needs canes to help and isn't the most graceful, but she walked. She is on relapse #2 and still in rehab to be more mobile. I might also add she became a body builder and competed. She's still trying to get back into condition to compete. She's in her late 30s now.

If this was a movie, she would have married her coach. This is real life. She is young and the coach is too old. As much as he likes her, it is his job and he is working with others as well. He would do the same for them. She found a guy who loves her for who she is and she is marrying him. His face said it all while watching her walk down the aisle with her two dads. The dress is perfect. Yes, you can dance in a wheelchair and the dress is just the right fullness and length to tuck it in for a fun reception, but absolutely perfect for the walk down the aisle. Blessed Katie, pain and all, will have a good life with all these people in it!
