My eight year old son passed away this past summer while on vacation. I believe he suffered a brain hemorrhage and choked in route to the hospital. He was the most amazing kid in the world. I miss him every single day. So.. to honor him his father and I decided to get married on his birthday. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ian flooded the hotel and our wedding had to be canceled but we decided that the date was more important then the location so we got married in our living room. 10/03 hopefully we can have a redo with family and friends. ❤

I lost my dad on the 2nd December and am crying as I write this, for you, for me, for Anna, for all mothers who have lost their children. I had 2 stillborn babies, and my daughter will be 26 next month, and I will never get to see her in her wedding dress. My son Liam was 24 in April and I am blessed by my one living son, who is 32 and the love of my life. My love to you on the loss of your dad, I still cry nearly every day, being a daddy’s girl from when I was a toddler. I miss him so much.❤️

I was in tears watching this. Everyone who made this possible for this grieving mother ... I mean this was one of the most touching moments I've seen on any of the bridal shows out together, hands down ... and I've watched plenty of 'em, let me tell you. 😁 My heart goes out to all the parents who lose a child ... it's unnatural and heartbreaking and how nice you were able to out a smile on her face ... and make her feel it's okay to happy. It must be so hard, because how do you get over the unfairness of a little boy who only gets 9 years, when so many of us get 70 or 80. As a bereaved mother I really understand the mix of emotions for this bride and her family. I learned that joy and sorrow can sit side by side in our heart. Life can never be the same after losing a child. We have to carry on to honor their memory. That is what they would want because that is how love works.

My brother passed away in 2010 when he was 33 years old. It was really hard for our family, and seeing my Mum grieve was really heart breaking :( She said nothing compares to losing one's child. For a while too, she didn't feel it was right to be happy, but I think those that have passed on would want us to be happy and enjoy life still. Like they say, its always harder for the people left behind, because we grieve and are heartbroken. It was really hard my brother's passing, but it got easier with time. Time and God are the only 2 things that make it easier. I'm sure her little boy is smiling at her from heaven, he would be really happy his family could have such a beautiful moment as a wedding, to celebrate the union of his parents
