I have both. There are pros and cons too both. Read below: Pros SBA3 -The QD attachment is in a perfect place for me. Does not get in the way of of my cheek weld when using a sling. SBA4 - More rigid and stiffer than the SBA3. Cons SBA3 - The rear lower of the brace is somewhat flexible and can overlap each other unevenly. (They make velcro straps to correct this now) Not as stiff and rigid and the SBA4 overall. SBA4 - The QD attachment is in a terrible location. Gets in the way of a good cheek weld on other side. Just my 2 cents.

For me and my sling usage, QD placement on the 4 is all wrong. On the 3 it is "just right"!

Pick up the sba3 split fix from wisemen company. It'll fix your problem with the sba3 brace.

Yeah, split fix for the win. I bought a few a while back. Totally solves the only issue with the SBA3. I think the SBM4 looks too bulky.

On the A4, are the two added struts stiff like polymer stiff? Or like there’s a polymer rod in them? Or are they flimsy and foldable like the regular A3 rubber?

A4 may exceed 13 1/2 pull length ATF rule for a pistol! Wise Men Company has a replacement strap that will solve that rubber lap on the A3 it comes in different camo colours to match newer pistols.🤙😎

You can always expoxy or weld up the last hole or two on the buffer tube if you have this issue.

Sb tactical sells the length of pull limiter. I made a mistake of trying to cut my buffer tube because i have law tactical folding adapter and i messed up big time.

Just curios,, the SMA4 AR appears to have a SME/Flash hider. I have SME on both AR 10.5" pistols. Significant sound suppression having measured 100 dbz max. with their use. That's roughly 85 dbz reduction. I went with the SBA4 for the wide cheek well after having 1st seen this video. I've subsequently ungraded both 10.5" Pistols, 7.62x39 with H3 (5.4oz) buffer weights; a southpaw having both left and right hand side charging pistols (one for Tonto) I'd like the brass going downrange range rather than into my breast pocket or BVDs, should I adopt a two gun approach, in the absence of Tonto.

That slit in the SBA3 is by design. It allows it to conform either left or right to be used as an actual brace. . . .
