What is Josh story po? I'm just so curious.. Yan po lagi nababasa ko eh. Wala na po ba siyang tatay? His line literally hit me too po. My father died last 2011. Am so sad kasi hnd man lang niya naabutan nung nakilala ko yung hubby ko, 2012 kami nagkakilala ng asawa ko. Us Filipinos are very Family Oriented. Even if we are already adults, we still live with our parents. "Rest for now, I'll take care of everything" It can have a double meaning for others, it can mean them telling mom and dad to 'take a break' so to speak, it is now the child's turn to take care of them. For others, it's like telling their parents who are no longer around, to not worry while on the other side, that the child has taken to heart the parent's teaching and can now stand on their own feet, "To just rest peacefully now without worries, I can handle it" 😭😭

This masterpiece will help us do another move to tell them how much we value and love them. In the song, “we will never get lost because we have the Mapa (Map)”. The map represent our parents. The things they taught us, the sacrifices, the advise they give and hardships. We will never get lost so long as we have the Map (Map). In the Filipino culture, we children have great regard to our parents / elderly. Most of us we would want to give back. Times wherein we just want our parents to stay still and its time for us (children) to do the rest. We want them to rest from the days and time they give and sacrifices for us. This song hits the hardest if we have those regrets if not being able to give back and let them rest from those tiring days they spent for us. Regrets prolly due to some unforeseen events. Event where they can no longer hear our “thank you” and gratefulness towards them. Regrets prolly because we don’t have the capability yet of returning the favor (though they never ask for it). Regrets prolly because we are far from them and this pandemic is hindering us of being with them or for any reason. Normally our parents (MaPa) would not share how hard life is, they would not tell us how tight things are. They would always keep inside them the struggles they are facing and normally they will always show their happy face for us not to worry. First part of the song, Justin talks about how our parents (MaPa) prioritize us in all aspects. In the Filipino culture, remember the day when you as a kid cries asking for a balloon and our parent would graciously get some coins and buy one for you. That moment we can only see the our happiness for getting what we simply want, but we cannot see their smile because we are happy with a simple thing. Josh’s part where he heed the memories and advise his (a) father gave him. That even though they are not together he promised of keeping them. Oh my god their vocals, I always been in love with KEN's voice first time I've heard it in TILALUHA, Then I was shock in Ken's vocal again in HANGGANG SA HULI and the KEN's grawl in WHAT is everything.
