A great point to anyone interested in these heads. If your gonna install on a stock block, you WILL need different pistons with larger valve reliefs!

Thank you to and your customer for allowing this video been waiting awhile for a professional opinion. I purchased mine a little over a year now. What I was disappointed about was AFR claimed a 59cc chamber and recently changed its claim to a 64cc I probably would if looked at other options if I had that info back than.

I bought mine over a year ago and it has the 59cc chamber per my machinist (and we will be milling them down to 54cc). The casting changed in 2022 to 64cc for some reason, confirmed by AFR tech I spoke with earlier this year when I noticed the change but before we had measured the cc on mine. My guess is to attract budget turbo builds but that is just my wag.

I have my opinion about it but to prove it I would have to pull a head and test it and I don’t have the time and money to do this. I don’t blame AFR because they are trying to sale affordable heads to the customers who need to budget out there builds and part of this deal is AFR not performing any machine work or tests on the head to maximize the affordability. Eric W, has already said what AFR has in these and really all the craftsmanship goes to the folks overseas. Oh well I’m grateful anyway I got mine while 150 bucks cheaper than they are now and now some professional advice is out there showing there not bad and can make for some good street performance for us ford guys.

@@aurdraco My guess is that 59cc is too small for a 351w/408w. And Ford claims "60cc-64cc" on the heads that come stock on Explorers.

I can attest to AFR having issues with some of their BBC heads. I waited 11 months for my 265's. Also, they explained what you did about the foundry issues they are having. They also mentioned that they are working on a BBC enforcer with 290cc intakes and 110cc chamber's. I'm pretty excited about that. Edelbrock said they are having foundry issues also. I dont think they use the same one, but it is a little peculiar that they both are having issues. Thanks for the video. I think I might forgo the promaxx heads and get some of these for my 302.

Awesome, glad you did this set of heads. Put a stock set of them on my windsor with very minimal clean up to port match to a rpm air gap and hooker headers.

@@davidcallahan5157 well it's in the truck, runs great and flows good enough for the cam and sniper stealth to do what it needs. Sadly never got to put it on the dyno before install. Overall I'd say they are a good budget street driver head, I've put 1k miles on them now and zero issues 393 stroker D.S.S 13cc tw dish pistons Comp 35-518-8 cam RPM Air Gap Comp push rods, rockers and lifters MLS. 0.45 head gaskets 10.0-1 comp

A lot of People think Chinese factory's are dirt floor 3rd world dumps but they have some really high tech facilities factorys and build houses over there, it's just in China and their employees are really hard working and diligent. It's not wether it's made in China it's what a company is having made and their tolerances, China can meet whatever is called out. It just boils down to the whole patriotic aspect that's something the consumer has to decide on.

LS AFR 210 cc Enforcer head is an offshore head. I have flowed one on a SuperFlow 600 and they’re not very impressive ( about 285 max) but better than GM 799/243. The Enforcer head has much room for improvement and can make good flow (over300 cfm) with minimal work. They tend to stall because the port entry is too narrow.

A friend of mine put them on his engine, big cam supposedly matched to the heads, etc. The power numbers were lackluster at best. I feel like he could have made similar power for less money with a factory unported casting.

@WeingartnerRacing well, you got a good set of closed chamber Cleveland heads, block, crank assembly? Then, what are you putting it in? The intake side of a closed chamber 4bbl Cleveland flow is almost exactly the same as a Victor jr! If you already have a usable Cleveland, and you're not gonna shoot 400 on it, I'd use it! The 2 bolt blocks actually hold up better than the 4 bolt blocks, drilling that extra bolt hole weakened the web! If you're looking for cheap 500hp and have one, just go with it! I have a complete short block and a set of old aluminum heads here somewhere, probably in the old 64 galaxy wagon. But, I have a lot of Windsor stuff, aluminum heads, ported 289 heads 030 forged piston already on the rods! But, I'm a 63 year old man with a bad back and dying wife. Later, I'll get a neckdown to help! Going in a 79 Fairmont wagon, 4 cylinder, 4 speed, manual breaks! Probably just go with a 393w!

Looking at the flow numbers alone, it looks like the Enforcer falls between a nicely ported iron GT40 and AFR 165's. I bought a pair because I wanted to save 40# off the front axle of my Merkur XR4ti. On my build, GT40's would have worked fine but by the time I did a little porting, replaced the springs and got a valve job on a set, I'd have $600-$800 in them. I have $1200 in the Enforcers with 59cc (confirmed) chambers. Should be good for a little bump in compression as well. They are a perfect solution to what I'm trying to achieve with this build.

@@WeingartnerRacing Dang. That is great news. Back in the 80's the only solution for the poor cylinder head situation for small block Ford's was to bolt on a set of Cleveland heads. That required a special intake manifold and was ultimately very expensive. Now, we have some cheap, bolt on heads that do the same thing and use the stock head gasket and headers. Lol. We've come a long way!
