I have a 2015 F250 Super Duty Crew Cab. I replaced the 8 cab bushings. Started yesterday and finished tightening the bolts this AM. I did not have a rust problem and did not heat up the bolts. I just took my time (with multiple extensions, a 50 yr old craftsman 1/2" ratchet, a 24" piece of galvanized pipe, and some Advil) and the bolts came out with little problem. Of course by the time you get one out, it feels like it was 5 feet long. When the bolts were about 1/2 way out, I used a used a HD drill to unscrew them the rest of the way. I did one side completely but only put the bolts in hand tight. Then I did the other side the same. It was late so I turned the lights off and went in for the night. At 0730 I was back out in the garage and started tightening them up. Using the ratchet/pipe was slow going but I was committed. Borrowed my son's electronic torque wrench and after a time I was done. I am 6'6" tall, 275 lbs, and 65yrs old and only a weekend mechanic but I was not hip on playing a mechanic $500 to replace the bushings. The mechanic that I go to is a local and is a good mechanic but $500 is $500.

When he says "you're gonna have to figure this one out on your own" at around 12:20, he means to say: you might want to take the bumper off to make it easier. The music is distracting and your fatigue by the time you made it to the front/engine bay mounts made your explanations appear short and frustrated. Thanks for the video and a great product.

What is the best approach for putting these on an excursion?

I just installed these mounts on my 06 F350, and one of them snapped while I was torqueing it down. I'm willing to admit something is my fault it it in fact is. I got no instructions in my box saying not to use air tools. Just wondering if the product was defective or if I did this using air tools.

What about the truck bed on 2007 f250 Crew? I need to replace all the mounts and my truck bed jangles over any bump in the road
@nicholasadams63436 күн бұрын
Theres no bushings for the bed. Just the cab.

Does anything need to be disconnected in the engine bay? Or is there enough slack in everything?

Do you feel a lot of vibration on the cab from those harder mounts ??
@SBFilters3 ай бұрын
@@arturopalafox1314 they aren’t harder. Better vibration isolation than stock.

I can absolutely confirm the impact will be bad for removal of body mount bolts.
