Sbg gone down hill big for a long time now. Definitely not a heqlthy place for fighters or those who want to learn unless you're mctapper bringing in that revenue

I trained in sbg for few months and can honestly say it's all bout the money. Jk would barely give you a hello and never once made u feel welcome there. McDonald's of mma in ireland

Haha I was thinking something like those business master class videos where the guy gets out of a Lambo and says that you can too if you follow his system

If I'm honest, I don't understand what the problem is. I would need more information (like the truth as you mentioned) but 5k doesn't seem like a lot to me when you are making money off someone's brand. I mean SBG obv blew up bc of Conor as far as how big it got to private students but this is all helping the other gyms profit and i guarantee most are coming bc of the brand name. All franchise type businesses are obviously charged fees so yeah from what I can tell, I dont see the problem

It was all about learning the sport and not to profit more from it.

Donald Rockett the problem was that Tom, Chris and Paddy already had their gym affiliates up and running way before the fee was introduced. They had also coached and in some cases were still coaching (Tom king) in SBG Concorde (John’s facility) for years, for free. There’s nothing wrong with John & Matt attaching value (5k) to the use of the SBG name, I think it was more about the way they went about it, when dealing with lads like Tom, Paddy & Chris who all helped build the brand into what it is today, the value of their contribution to the Irish scene and by proxy SBGI’s success can not be underestimated.

5000 isn't a lot! it doesn't sound greedy at all... I can understand y they r upset but almost every big school has fees... And 5k is def reasonable... Who knows if the investor wants to turn a profit... I just don't think they should take it as personal
