@@rightway9011 There are numerous jobs better than Bank POs.Many people dont see them seriously. Great advantage with banks is their result comout within 6-9months where as Exams like SSC takes 2-3 years. Present scenario in banking industry is not at all fine...Pressure to cross sell.. Too much competition in financial sector is leading to worst days for employees. SBI POs are working on holidays also...12hrs a day...

My baba joined SBI in 1970 as PO and then retired in 2005 after 35 years in service as GM Commercial banking . When he expired i got calls from all his colleagues Junior senior PO NON PO as my papa never distinguished . He always used to say there are many Promotee officers who are.more well read and efficient than probationary officers . He also served as EA to Chairman Late Dipankar Basu who came in my marriage as well. Most of his colleagues are No more. I grew up with SBI my school admissions were all done with Letter from SBI mom recieved widow pension and Medical of 15 lakhs every year till she was alive . I dont invest anywhere except SBI being an NRI i stand in queue never took papas name Buy shares Bonds from sbi all Loans are with SBI an emotional bond that will stay till i am alive

I am from private sector. I don't know why people have an aspiration to become PO in a govt Bank and consider this as an achievement. They pay you less, no increments, you will get transferred after 3-5 years depending on which bank you are. When you get transferred to another location you will be asked to live away from your family/kids/husband. Imagine a kid seeing their mother or father in a month timeframe. How good would that scenario be? But no worries, whenever you think you are underpaid or living alone with your family, with no learning and growth, just open this welcome box and feel good.about what you have acheived. Great . It is not the civil servents alone as an officer from jr to sr in SBI, We get immense opportunity to serve the people of all kinds and build the nation with growth & development in all the sectors. I enjoyed my 30 yrs in SBI in doing so and cherish those wonderful moments till now.A civil servent work with rules coupled with enormous powers while a bank executive work with knoweldge, dedication towards the people( customers), application of all managerial traits. He is HR man,Marketing man, business analyst and nation builder and combination of all these only makes him successful. Ofcourse rogues are there in every field , including God men in our country.

My elder brother is branch manager in sbi and he used to say many times that it's better to be a primary teacher in state government rather than doing a job in bank.. it will look cool to you till your probation period but than after your life will become worst... 😁 my friend,yrs service, still no name plate..many PO's resign after confirmation because there is bond period,hectic life and difficult postings,it's only material things that bank can offer,not peace of mind...and it's almost equivalent to private sector work atmosphere ,may be it varies across the country.. well ,work never becomes easy ,you get used to the uneasiness... Lot of loans and allowances is only what is attractive.Having a job is better than being unemployed.. so have plans ..make some savings and then resign or else no income.We don't know if public sector banks itself would exist in future.

A lot of people here are speaking without any relevant experience or zero experience, because not everyone becomes an SBI PO. It all depends on how you perceive the challenges. If you deal with them, you can do amazing things in life. Aur waise bhi, nhi ho paya to chor k private join kr lena, high salary, good perks and a lot more. You will carry a brand value of SBI PO along with you wherever you go. A lot of people are too naive to understand what I said. When you became an SBI PO, you left a lot of people behind. You will have enough time to think about your career or better opportunities and if you have cleared SBI PO, you can clear other exams too. Just go for it champ, cheers!♥️
