Dune P1&2, Beautiful Boy, Wonka, A Complete Unknown & Marty Supreme (which these 2 films are not even out yet).. never heard a lead role actor nominated for best actor, even the film is not yet released in public.. how crazy is that..
@maggie144113317 жыл бұрын
Chalamet was being humble and probably half joking when the MTV interviewed him about the popularity of himself and Ansel Elgort in the La Guardia High School, for saying that Ansel Elgort was more popular because he got the musical leads back in their high school days, but the moderator really didn't do much homework to bring up that question in a slightly awkward way here. It only takes five minute google search to know that Chalamet was also cast as the lead in Sweet Charity and Cabaret, as Oscar and The Emcee, respectively, in the musical productions for the high school. You can tell that Chalamet struggled a bit to respond to that question as it's not the right place to tell the truth that he also got cast as leads in musicals back in his high school days, as he'd come across as defensive or even bragging. Call Me by Your Name is not his first lead role after graduating from the high school either. He's the lead in the small indie, One and Two, arguably a co-lead in Miss Stevens, another indie, and he's also the lead of the off-Broadway play, Prodigal Son, for which he won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play. His track record in the professional life is right there. It's one thing to joke on the red carpet about you and your friend's popularity in the high school, it's another to be treated as though that you are not really as talented as your peers and you just hit the jackpot with your first lead role in your career at a film festival where honoring your breakthrough performance that won you an Oscar lead actor nomination. Just a little bit of homework on the moderator's side would save all the awkwardness.

Chookas Chookas He talked about this on the podcast “Happy Sad Confused”, which was a long discussion. He said how he can see how other young actors went off the rails due to the pressure. Said Saorise told him “male actors lose their minds at 24. Don’t lose your mind.” Seems like he thinks about this a lot. Plus, in his next film he plays someone with a terrible addiction, so that probably helps keep his head on straight. But he’s gotta be exhausted. Hope he takes a break after the Oscars.

WTF???..this is 2018, not 1990...all I could think of was googling "gay leading men who have won Oscars"???? the list was long...what's the big difference, between gay men, kissing woman on screen and straight men kissing each other on screen....it's all acting..i don't think, that Tim has defined his sexuality and it's none of our freaking business..,...it's like asking "you aren't a murderer in real life and you played one in the movie!!!! The story/book was amazing. but I've seen a lot of lgbt stories go downhill because of casting fails... or even the looks don't fit.. or the directing is too heavy, aggressive or too delicate.. but they miss little details that make a huge impact on screen. This was really a masterpiece.. cinematography, script, and the magic the actors brought in.

In the sequel I’d like Elio to meet someone new and this time not be so shy and calculated about his feelings. An honest story.
