Isn't that Leonard Maltin talking with Jamie Lee? Hi Leonard. I have many of your books in my collection. They contain authoritative reference material discussing film and little known factual information about film by title. They are must-have books for anyone interested in film. Some of us do still read books. I've always loved books.

I'm so shocked by her agent low-selling her on this movie. It's like when a guy was (BADLY) selling me a house like 'But there is no parking space' and I was all 'I don't drive, it's cool'. And that just continued. HOW, when you are Jamie Lee's agent, and she says she wants to do it, do you try and dissuade her?! Ridiculous. She clearly made the right decision regardless. (So did I, my lil house is dope!)

Their very first film, an indie film at sundance did absolutely horrible. It was too wacky. It was about a guy trapped in an island and got saved by a farting corpse that of which became his best friend…? And the movie was an arc about friendship…? It was apparently very bad and received horrible criticism. This was their second film and is essentially an indie level film released in small film festivals which just happened to skyrocket to the Oscar’s 11 times, 9 of which they won. That’s like applying for a mayors office in a small borough with the intention of moving up the steps appropriately and being given the recognition of lifetime achievement awards for being the president of United States. It’s crazy upward motion in film. They really took the criticism to heart and learned from their feedback of their last film which must’ve hurt a lot to be perceived as an embarrassment and fail that badly and they really made an effort to give their next film aheart and soul. So it makes sense that Jamie and her entourage reluctantly agreed to be in the Daniels film.
