The landlord is not only causing severe hardship for this lady. Thanks Spencer for your compassionate care. The bees (honey?) are glad to bee there but honey bees are absolutely necessary to our food production and should be “saved” from extermination. And finally, he’s allowing his property value to be greatly devalued.

FYI….Beekeepers do not remove bees from home free of charge. Most of them do charge for their services. Because they are experts and doing what they do.

Sometimes for free. Depends on the nature of the job. IIRC swarm removal (when there's a big pile of bees on a branch or something) wcan be free; removing an established hive gets a little more interesting. (Source: my parents are amateur beekeepers and my mother in particular does hive removals; I wouldn't get anywhere near those things myself...)

@SB Mowing, contact the woman. Tell her to tell her landlord to contact a local beekeeper association (all states have one), they will come retrieve /rehome the bees for free. Then he can do whatever repairs are required. Be sure the area where the old hive is removed with PRIMER, it keeps bees from making a new hive in the same place!

What a blessing. I remember my yard was overgrown. I couldn't afford to pay and was going to school full-time and working full-time I couldn't do it myself. A neighbor stopped by and asked my mo.whom was at my house watching my infant if he could cut my grass. She said yes. And he said just let her know it was the friendly neighborhood man named Jeff. Never met him but thank you Jeff. And thank you SB Mowing for blessing folks.

One of my favorite clean ups. I'm certain the tenant is over the moon with the results. As others have said, enough is enough with the bees. Gotta get that handled asap. Great job, man. carpenter bees are aggressive we had some underneath our stairs to our deck and anytime someone would use the stairs it was almost guaranteed someone would get stung. These videos are fun to watch you are doing an amazing job.

Oh wow that’s quite a big corner block to take care of. Over here in Australia our council will go around an mow corner blocks of properties that may look like they’re struggling to manage it or to just keep the area looking nice for other citizens. It’s just quite a big corner property to upkeep. I’m super allergic to wasps but I stay on the lookout, keep a special spray to freeze the buggers and am prepared to need an epipen if things go sideways.

I enjoy your videos and watch at least a couple each week! Just a suggestion, I like the transformations of the houses that people actually live in more than the abandoned houses. I have to wonder if some of those neighbors that are by the abandoned houses actually think it’s better to have the greenery versus a very run down house. You might want to find a local orchard and ask them about relocating bee hives. Sometimes they will pay for the bee keeper to bring a hive to their orchard because they need bees to pollinate their fruit trees berries etc.

Good job and glad you did not get stung. I had a bee problem with a house I just bought. They got up in the damaged soffets, and before I could get them repaired, I had to hire a bee keeper to come out and take care of the problem. He couldn't reach the queen, so he had to kill them to get rid of them. I felt bad about that. I have an allergic reaction to bee stings, so I couldn't put off dealing with the problem no matter how much I hated the end result.

SB Mowing, thanks for helping this person. Do you know what type of bees had made a nest? If they’re honey bees this lady may find someone that will remove and relocate the colony. Your video may get her some help by commenting to you. If you need to euthanize a wasp or bee colony you can mix Dawn dish detergent and spray it on them. One ounce of Dawn in one gallon of water works pretty good and of course you can mix it a little stronger. It’s so much cheaper that wasp or hornet spray.

I have always hated those trees. We had an 8 year old boy that was impaled on one once with 7 of those spikes impaled about 3-4 inches in him. It took over an hour for me and the fire dept to get him off it without bleeding out.
