Same, there is a lot of things the game doesn't explain that well. Seeing it in action and hearing thoughts about how and why really helps getting over that, even if in the end i might disagree with some of the evaluations, but that is part of learning the game and reading the ingame situation.

Urkan are giant beasts that are strong enough to wipe out entire armies, which means they really are something more than guardians. You need to kill them to tame them (they actually change faction, not die) They can also root to the ground, which makes them mobile 1 tile cities that actually occupy the entire settlement. They are damn hard to tame at the start, but easy to bribe if right "luxury" is at disposal. There is a training system which makes them even stronger and it is also utilized by luxury resources. Don't want to spoil you but IF YOU TAME ALL THREE OF THEM FIRST, SOME REAL COOL STUFF HAPPENS. IF SOMEONE ELSE TAMES THEM ALL FIRST, THEN SOME REAL BLOODY NASTY STUFF WILL (probably) happen.

So they're kinda like the Cultists then as in they can only build one city. That's going to be interesting. I love your vids man. Life from the Loam? Great, this faction plays BG at the Magic table. And that retaliation damage skill looks VERY powerful. If you get even a basic defensive building done and 2 points in that skill, enemy units take 150+ damage a turn just sitting there. Emeralds become a luxury that deals direct damage! I see the permanent Shrouded Temple visual bug is still present. I wonder when that's gonna get fixed?

It's a fantasy weapon, obviously, but it's equally obviously closely based upon the C19th sabre that was commonly guarded in that way, in particular the classic "three bar hilt" type used by the British Imperial army among others.

Looking much better than the cultists and I'm actually looking forward to the end game potential of this faction. They're Looking much better balanced and more interesting, though the Ardent Mages as being their enemies is a bit strange. I don't see the Ardent Mages as good people but I wouldn't see them as being natural enemies with the Vaulters. That's more the Forgotten's thing to me if I remember correctly.

I mean, the Ardent Mages could be the enemies with that specific Homevault, since the Vaulters we play as are but one of the many who were destroyed, so it could be that every vault had different diplomacy, and that one had a sour relationship with the Mages, or maybe it was just the guys studying Mykara, who knows

You increased the smarts of all KZbin with that cordyceps joke. It's interesting that you like the combat in Endless Legend. Cause I've always heard it was a bad part of the game, and I kind of have to agree. Because your damage is varied and units can't be given orders after the initial phase, I've pretty commonly experienced a unit I wanted to attack an enemy just wandering into the distance, or going to where the enemy was rather than where they moved to.

i just had my frist game, and as i see it just go ham whit the blomming like pop, the faster you get them the faster you get to the late game pay off, efter i had 100ish blomms and won the frist war i had a pop of 50ish and got an new one evey 3. round

So you said you need an exploited sea tile to get the ocean ruins and that's not correct. You just need to research Shipyard in Era 2 and then move your army in to the water.

So, a war between Mykara and Vaulters would be a civil war in technicality? Since the Mykara leader was a Vaulter before fleeing because of the Ardent Mages *hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm* Also if the Mages are in the game you should hunt down every last one of them to fit into the lore
