Well done, a very good solution to the profile problem. I have two BuWizz, and they work great! But I am patiently waiting for a software update.

Thx. For me it's the same: I'm waiting for the update too.

Being that the brickcontroller app allows you to control multiple reciever types within a single control profile, would it be possible to use a buwizz to power an sbrick, but still have remote control for all the ports on both? I want to make my 42043 mercedes benz arocs fully rc.

Good question. As I haven’t been using both since some time I can’t answer it. But the way you’re describing it it sounds plausible. Maybe someone from audience can give a better answer.

у меня вопрос, будет ли работать buwizz мотор от powerfunction? сам buwizz я найти не могу в продаже а покупать какой нибудь набор ради него мне не по карману
@lc-jrx2 жыл бұрын
К сожалению, я не могу ответить на этот вопрос, потому что у меня нет двигателя Buwizz. Но в принципе двигатель должен работать так же, как и другие двигатели PF. (Автоматический перевод с помощью Deepl.com)

Great video - having many German friends, I appreciate the detailed & technical comparison. What are you thoughts of the new Power Up components from Lego? It is Bluetooth but I do not know how it fairs with BuWizz or other similar brick bluetooth connections. Keep the videos coming. Thanks

Thx a lot for your nice words. With Powered Up I don't have much experience until now. May be I'll get the Bat car in the next days when it's discounted. A new comparison would be a good thing. What I listened and read about Powered Up until now wasn't to good. But as I wrote: I haven't tested it yet.

I don't get any voltage across the terminals of the buwizz upon power up. Also I note that your buwizz LED glows solid upon power up. Mine blinks unless the app is connected. I'm hoping to use the buwizz strictly as a battery pack without any app. Do you have any idea how to do that?
@lc-jrx6 жыл бұрын
There should be power directly from the start. Could you describe your setup? What comes after the buwizz? A sbrick or a PF infrared receiver? What you can't do is connect a motor or lights and power them without app. You have to consider that buwizz gives only low voltage for default. Higher voltage is only delivered after switching it to high in the app.
@ThePygmyseahorse6 жыл бұрын
@@lc-jrx a PF IR receiver. When I turned the buwizz on initially there is no voltage across the terminals. In your video you get ~5V upon turning it on. I can connect the app, start it, and maybe use the train controller to set it to a certain level, only then will there be voltage output.

@@lc-jrx i have the new 2.0 one with ludicrous setting. Maybe there is a difference between them?
@lc-jrx6 жыл бұрын
@@ThePygmyseahorse I just gave it a try and you're right: With BuWIzz 2.0 there's no always on voltage from the start. I get around 7V after I connected the BuWizz with the App. That's new and different.

hello I made an 11.1v battery pack the sbrick receiver for the case has the outputs stabilized to 9v?

Nice. It will work with SBrick. Played with something like your solution and it worked well.

In this video you use buwizz that cost 300$ and deliver less power then small lipo that cost 9$... And yes, looks like s-brick is better option then buwizz.

Does this work with the ludicrous mode enabled one I tried with an infrared receiver and it only worked when it was connected in the app. My thoughts are that I’d need two smart devices, one for the BuWizz to keep it activated and for the s Rick to control it. Would I be correct?
@lc-jrx4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you’re right. Someone asked the same some weeks ago so I tested it with the BuWizz 2 and found the same as you. But your thought with two Smartdevices should work - but it’s really expensive and not very practically. I would bye a LiPo-enabled BattBox. There are many tinkers in the AFOL scene who do this tinkering for small money. With such N box you get the same power as with the BuWizz but only needing one smartdevice

LC-jrx so like these people modify the connectors of cheap rc Lopo batteries to have pf connections? Where would I get one of those
@lc-jrx4 жыл бұрын
Right. But I don’t know where you can get those. In German AFOL forum Doctor-Brick.de there are some of those tinkers and I think also at EuroBricks.com maybe you‘ll like searching there. You’ll find more answers there and maybe someone who‘ll sell you those modified battery boxes. I own two of them and they’re really good

Not an engine.... Anyways The Li-po battery from lego is a little weak but have you tried to use the regular lego battery boxes that take the regular batteries and just use Li-po AA or AAA batteries in them and see the power you get. They might also skip the safety limiter used on the standard Lego Li-po battery.
@lc-jrx6 жыл бұрын
Never tried them as they are a little expensive. Also most of the Lipo AA batteries are a little longer than normal one. Don’t know if they will fit in the Lego battery boxes. I doubt that using Lipo AA batteries will help getting over the current protection circuit.
