Years ago, ZUN's site had a page called "東方幻想的音楽", where MIDI files made for the Roland SC-88Pro could be downloaded for free. Between 1999 and 2001, ZUN posted arrange versions of many PC-98 Touhou Project tracks and arranged the entire Seihou Shuusou Gyoku OST. He also posted the Torte Le Magic OST and 6 tracks known as "ZUN's Strange Works". They only sound as intended on this module.
The PC-98 arrangements include select tracks from 東方靈異伝 ～ The Highly Responsive to Prayers (Touhou 1), 東方封魔録 ～ the Story of Eastern Wonderland (Touhou 2), 東方夢時空 ～ Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream (Touhou 3), 東方幻想郷 ～ Lotus Land Story (Touhou 4) and 東方怪綺談 ～ Mystic Square (Touhou 5). Please don't call these "remix" or "remastered". These words don't mean what you think they do!

This is "Legendary Illusion ~ Infinite Being" from Mystic Square. Finally, I've arranged the song quite faithful to the original in a long time. But, I feel that it's flowing rather shallow, and at this rate it would be difficult to use in games.
As such, I have a tendency to unable to withstand the tension of such powerful boss songs (somewhat a lie), so this song also became a boss-like song only in the beginning part of it. I wanted to make songs that is really intimidating someday (which I could never make ((; _ ;)
The difficulty lied in the insufficient memory and of balance. (Is it not with the song?)
So Shinki and Yumeko, unlike the other characters, I wanted to portray them with a great impression (in drawing AND songs). but because the author was such a guy, they became similar characters like the rest. The white silver hair and the six blades of wings was to say a little, an attempt for difference (sweat)

東方怪綺談より【 神話幻想　～ Infinite Being 】です。 久しぶり元曲に忠実っぽくアレンジしました。 でも、さらっと流れていく感じになっているので、このままではゲームには使いにくいかな。
で、私は緊迫感のある曲は作ってる途中で緊迫感に耐えられなくなってしまうので（やや嘘） この曲もイントロだけボス戦っぽい曲になってます。 本当は威圧感のある曲も作ってみたかったです（作れなかった(;_;）
苦労した点としては、メモリ不足とバランスですね。（曲のことではないのか？）
でで、神綺と夢子のペアは、今までのキャラと違って（絵も曲も）ビジュアル系にしたかっ たのですが作者が作者なんで(^^;いつもの様になってしまいましたね。 白銀色の髪や、途中から生える６枚の翼もその名残だったりもします（汗）

This song has always given me images of a sunset colored sky, much like UFO Stage 6, Or the ending of MS when Makai's skyline is burning- It's never struck me as very otherworldly at all; and this remaster only exaggerates this feeling. .. Nonetheless, I would never have taken an interest in the spirit world had it not been for this song.
