Hi I know old video but do you remember the difference in actual ambient temp to the read out on the dash with your setting?

Apollo! what AFR did you end up with in the dyno? I currently have an mt07 with aftermarket exhaust, aftermarket air filter and the SC Project AFM fitted in... been using numbers between 5-7 because I find it at its best over those numbers. I would like to comprare it to the number you've used in the dyno to see if im making it too rich with my numbers or not. Thanks!

I had a chat with SC-Project support and for Yamaha CP2 engine they recommend AFM to be set between 4 and 6. Having aftermarket air-filter probably 5-7 is just about right.

@@xr1140 does it always affect the temperature reading on the dash? i'm curious how it works before buying one - does it just affect the ambient temperature sensor to trick the engine into providing more fuel to compensate for the colder and more dense air the engine expects to receive?

@@180FiftyFive Yes, it affects the air temp on the dash (not engine temp) and yes, it tricks the ambient temp sensor.

Hi, I have a xsr 900 from 2018 euro4 model. I fitted an Euro 4 sc project complete exhaust with an kn airfilter. And loosing a lot of power now. Testet it directly with the original version of my brother and his is faster. Do you think that afm will help or fix the problem to get the original power back? Or do I need mapping (ecu flash) or the sc project power unit? Actually I Don't wanna do an mapping because it is highly illegal here in Germany...

Dan Man living the Dream I would say the unit may be the best option for you, better because Sc project make the unit. Is a power commander an option or also illegal in Germany?

Pablo Bergonzi hi thanks for watching to the end!! I’d adjust it with the current temperature, summer riding- showing -7 degrees and winter I would turn it all the way off so it showed correct temperature.

Gustav 991 I didn’t have a dyno before fitting it, but from what I’ve seen of other vids its was about 6hp

Summers on it's way...who are you ?Micheal Fish..lol...Seems a tad silly for yamaha to have stuck the temperature sensor where they did especially as it is integral to the overall mixture .. Still you seem happy with it smoothening out the pickup... You seemed disappointed with overall dyno final readout.....sounds fair 8ncsll honesty as company's have always added a bit more hp/ps to each model ...and from the crank.... Be interesting once you've gauged it in a bit more as go whether you squeeze more out of it.... Keep it safe dude!
