Hi Doing mine not ran since 2011 Seen a few videos and checked mine is a GSF600S X (on the log book). Checked before setting by screwing them in first and mine were 31/4 So confusing with so many options. Haynes says 17/8 It was running fine last time out so setting it to 31/4 Thanks

1 7/8 is mk1 early model 1 3/4 is mk2 600 bandit Does your bandit start with GNA as the frame number? You need to check against the haynes manual!!! 2 turns out is usually good and then sync them

Hi. Cool vid. But I have a question. Does the mixture screw control fuel flow or fuel/air flow ( pre-mixed before the screw). On My gsxr11 and rf6's the screw controls fuel/air flow. Hope this makes sense. Unfortunately Its for a mate who isn't local. Cheers
@TheLoneWolfRider
@TheLoneWolfRider 3 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching, so the best of my memory ( I don’t have the bike any more) it’s just fuel flow, that’s why you have to catch it in the sweet spot.

Nobody believes me, when I tell everybody how very, very SPECIAL the 650 Bandit is not Bandit S, better than a Bandit S, way more torque. '05 one very, very careful, cautious owner who basically ran it in for 15,000 miles and it pulls, fly's up steep, steep hills, like it's falling off a cliff. The acceleration is a pure rider's treat.

Good review, but I respectfully disagree on the brake comments. I have the 2016 Street and the brakes are more than adequate for a light nimble cruiser. I also have a 2007 Honda 919 that’s insanely fast and needs dual disks. Neither bike has ABS and I like it that way. I wouldn’t want ABS unless I could turn it off like on the Husqvarna 401 and 701. Admittedly I have never ridden a bike with ABS but I like to be in full control at all times and be able to approach locking up the brakes if I need to. The later Harley Street Rod 750s come standard with ABS. I had the same issue with the non-spring loaded pegs, but a trip to the hardware store or online shopping can fix that. The mirrors are totally useless as are all stock mirrors. I never have figured out why manufacturer’s do this other than to sell additional parts. Ram mount mirrors work great but you have to tap the stock Harley fitting for an M8 thread and install the Ram Mount 1”ball. I love everything else about this bike! It truly is a fun unique ride. It just makes me smile while I’m on it.

Iv been riding 38 years now , iv had harleys big old zeds cb 750s ,iv ridden a few sports bikes but find them boringly bland , iv added the XJR to my collection its a 99 and all standard , and i have to say it looks feels like a real muscle bike , the brakes and handling are great , if you want a bike that does it all get one of these , you won't regret it , they are a proper bikers bike ,like the old zed nines .

idk if this was an option at the time, but 350 $give or take and id have added a power vision ECU flasher by dynojet... no need to even keep it on the bike all the time, its like a power commander that works thru the ecu via the data link cable (adaptors available for basically every F.I. powered motorcycle harness- even other things like can-am side by sides). imagine having a list of pre installed tunes on your ecu tuning device (that even has a small display- which could be set up as gauge readouts for A/F values and whatnot) but the little bugger can literally do everything that would typically require sending your ecu to be flashed by a professional dyno shop- limiter removal, torque limiters by gear... add an ignition module, and your MT09 now has launch control, a bunch of cool tuning tools, timing advancement/retarding, shit you can even set up a tune to flash onto your ecu to run e85 and race fuels i

MOST IN DEPTH BANDIT 650 REV.???, STRAP YOUR CAMERA ROUND YOUR NECK, GET ON THE BANDIT AND ACCELERATE, LET PEOPLE SEE, AND FEEL THE JOY, THRILL, THAT IS BANDIT ACCELERATION. MY '05 650 GSF BANDIT, NOT A BANDIT S, BETTER THAN A BANDIT S, ONE CAREFUL, CAUTIOUS OWNER WHO RAN IT IN FOR JUST OVER 15,000 MILES, HALF WAY TO THE RED-LINE, AND IT'S AN UNARMED EXORCET, SIDEWINDER POLARUS MISSILE, THAT IS TIME VORTEX ENHANCING EXPERIENCE, I MEAN HYPER QUICK. NOBODY COULD WANT OR NEED TO ACCELERATE FASTER THAN MY 650 BANDIT, WHEN WOUND UP, IT PULLS UP STEEP, STEEP HILLS, LIKE IT'S FALLING OFF A CLIFF. PURE MAGIC!!!. IN MARCH 1985, DELIVERING A LETTER FROM GLASGOW TO LEEDS, ON A KAWA GT750 I PULLED IN FOR FUEL NEAR CARLISLE, NOZZLE IN THE TANK HEAR POLICE SIREN, TRAFFIC POLICE. 'YOUR UNDER ARREST, WE'VE BEEN CHASING YOU FOR THE LAST 30 MILES DOING OVER 120MPH, GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU WERE DOING?'. DUMFRIES SHERIFF COURT SAID 138MPH, FINED 50 POUNDS AND BANNED 3 MONTHS. THE GT750 WAS A GREAT BIKE PLANTED, SOLID RIDE, AND MY GPZ750TURBO WAS A LOT QUICKER THAN THE GT750, TOP END??, DONE THAT!!, AND THE 750 ACCELERATION WAS WOOOOSH, WHEN THE TURBO?!!!!!, THAT WORKED!!! KICKED IN. THINK MY 650 BANDIT IS FANTASTIC AND WOULD NEVER WANT OR NEED ANOTHER BIKE. AND I'M NOT EVEN LYING.

" It is not very revy " ...Maybe Yours has a wipe cloth in the exhaust . It has the engine from a FJ 1200 sports bike. I converted my XJR 1200 engine to FJ 1200 - spec. It is scary what happens between 8500 and 10000 revs than. And I say that as a owner of an R1 and former owner of an RD 500 ... Even in stock 105 HP configuration it is the opposite of boring, smooth but rev- happy. Also converted my one to rear Öhlins - shocks. Works excellent. Adjustable to every imaginable condition.

This bike was my second bike and my current one,I'm 26 and been riding for 2 years and this bike took me through bad weather,year round commuting 50 miles to work for several months , through low speed cities and highways, through countrysides and whatever else I wanted to go,with no engine issues whatsoever and done 15k miles since I got it. Suffice to say this bike always brings a smile to my face and I wouldn't know which other bike could give me more than this bike is already. Is amazingly torquey and fast as hell.And yes it got me two speed tickets.

Fantastic tires for the whet roads.a lot grip in soapy surfaces . No rely nice on drive roads because, yes they are quite noise and the front tire send up to the hands vibrations and if you like to jump from 70 to 71 mls x h well that will hurt you. Easy to get nails on the gaps. 100 positive for winter and 60 negative for sunny rides . Realy good for UK wether.I do recommend to the new riders 100% just get the kit to fix punctures because can happen at some point. Ride Safe
