So I finally gave in and decided to get an exhaust for the Hyper.. and went for something a little different and ultimately super LOUD!
This CR-T M2 SC Project Exhaust saves 2Kg of weight, looks awesome and sounds amazing.. really suits the lines of the Hyper.

I installed SC Project pipes on my 950 SP a few months ago and I'm happy with them. So, the difference between what you installed versus what I have: I had wanted all carbon pipes, but the make-or-break part was that I wanted grill caps and SC doesn't make full carbon with caps. I live in a very congested city, and while Harleys run amuck with their obnoxious chrome pipes, the decibel range on those carbons puts me outside the law, and it's common knowledge how USAmerican police can behave;. so I went with a pair with decibel reduction, and after this "break-in" period, it was a smart choice. The pipes seem to have gotten louder as time and rides increase. Even with ever-present earplugs, the sound is VERY audible. This past Saturday was my 14th run thru a 1.2km tunnel south of the city in an area called Devil's Slide. I've run thru the tunnel solely in either 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gears per pass; in 2nd, I was moving slow because of traffic; in 3rd the sound is rumbling, but with higher midrange; in 4th the booming effect off the tunnel walls is visceral, and it sounds like a sci-fi movie. I can legally lane-split here and I can state that in 1st or 2nd gear, these pipes carve a path thru stalled traffic. So to the Prius driving, alfalfa-chomping, processed water blessed by Gaia finger-waggers, I say; they pay for themselves when they can move the self-absorbed texting drivers out of my path of travel. Lastly; you know that the whole weight-saving thing around pipes and carbon bit is merely a selling point; weight saving comes with reducing unsprung weight. So add carbon wheels to your list! Those carbons look excellent. The titanium with carbon tips have grown on me and gotten positive attention. The grill caps give them finished look.

You guys have so many rules/laws over there with noise - no1 really bothers here UK. I am talking to some fabricators to get some db-killers/baffles made to reduce to noise because its stupid loud 😂😂

@@hypermotardking Laws here are cherry-picked; the most dangerous is the non-enforced one of texting and holding mobiles while driving. It's a clear danger, but it's not enforced. Meanwhile, the cause cèlébre is loud pipes. The pipe argument has been raging for well over 40 years and everyone's a pundit. I totally get the science, but it doesn't factor in automobile driving behaviours in the real world.

Those look awesome, nice weight saving also. I'm little shocked they release so much extra noise. I thought a lot of the sound deadening was in the cat. Did not know the stock mufflers reduced the sound level that much. Nice install job

@@hypermotardking any update on how your indicators are holding up? I’m in the market for for exhaust and I’m pretty sure this is what I’ll end up with, but I’m curious about the heat they give off with the removal of the heat shield, as well as how the exhaust on the indicators affects them, if at all. Thanks!

@@andrewgermond3420 No issues so far.. it isn’t like a blow torch blasting the turn signals 100% of the time and you don’t sit in stationary traffic revving the nuts off the bike.. so I am truely confused where this noise of “heat melting turn signals” comes from.. 🤷🏾‍♂️😂

@@hypermotardking I’m at the crossroad of either getting a decat and servo eliminator and keep the original end cans. Or keep the cat converter and just swap the end cans to Austin Racing or SC Project. I think doing both decat + end cans or a whole system will be too much for the financial investment required and the remapping etc. Would be interesting to find out the weight saving of the decat option compared to just the end cans option! As well as the decibel comparison.
