He was using several woman @ that, Maria had no clue, he was like a night shark stalking woman for money when she would go to sleep, I’m sure it’s not his first time, the judge said it best, I think She put up a fight, from the front seat to the back seat trying to get out, I think he was going to rob her but she saw his face while fighting so he killed her, poor girl had 30 dollars in the bank and now a life in jail for you the monster and you got nothin, he had no clue his car was on camera, how stupid are you cameras are all over everywhere! Maria sealed the deal as he was no longer able to use the story he fell asleep at a party and someone stole his car, he left from her house, this is the reason the defense could not put on a case, this busted his alibi “his made up story” He thought he was off scott free without a clue and they were already lookin for him, Great job Maria! Maria’s letter in the glove box was also key to finding all the evidence!

I dont blame her for not acting out of the ordinary. She obviously knew something wasn't right but she still had to take care of her responsibilities (work, rent, picking up her child etc.) She was literally minding her business because it had nothing to do with her. Also when an individual doesn't pose a threat to you or your child on an everyday basis, the last thing you would expect is that they have murdered someone in the car, whether or not there was blood in it. She's not stupid she kept questioning him throughout the two days and was expecting him to give her an answer. I'm sure if she thought at any point he posed a threat to her or their daughter she would have left or called the police. It must have been shocking to her when she saw the news and finally put two and two together. That's something difficult and shocking for someone to learn and accept. For all she knows he hit an animal, or got into a fight, or something happened with a friend that he didn't want to tell her or involve her. But I'm most certain she didn't think he murdered someone! For all you people that said "oh I would have called the police" you probably wouldn't know what to do until you had some answers! For all you know she was scared and acted calm to protect her and her child. Respect to Maria for having to go through that ordeal. Must have been so scary! I'm glad her and her daughter are safe!

I don’t blame her at all for riding in the car to get to work when she was already late, or for picking up her child in it. You don’t take your time finding another way when your child is in day care. If you don’t pick your child up when expected, or before hours are over there are serious consequences. The fact she lived out her normal routine and didn’t lose her cool with him probably saved her life!

Yeah , she needs to work to pay the bills looks like the Killer didn't help her with any of those ... whatta guy. She needed to go to work & unfortunately got involved with this guy. Brave, beautiful woman. Being so young and still working tough job and doing double shift and taking care of baby. Mindful of paying rent on time and being prepared for work and not being late. Instead of worrying about her missing tooth which cost an insanely high price to replace and she clearly stated she’s working as much as possible at a job that doesn’t pay a living wage much less dental & health insurance focus on helping to change that for Americans or say nothing at all! Better yet maybe just focus on the fact that she and her daughter have gone through a traumatic event & still are! Or focus on the fact that she’s doing her best to make sure he gets convicted for murdering an innocent woman! Or focus on the fact she’s likely doing her best to get up in front of the world to speak truth on crime someone she loved committed while knowing petty people online are going to judge her and insult her while she’s on the stand trying to do the right thing! So instead of judging this woman how about having empathy for her or acknowledging the courage it’s taken her to get in front of the world knowing the criticism she’s going to be facing but choosing to do the right thing regardless of that! The world we live in seems to lack empathy.

That they’re doing their due diligence to ensure it’s a fair trial by providing sufficient defense for the client. They’re public defense attorneys because Rowland couldn’t afford a private defense, so no, they didn’t do it for the money. If they did nothing it’ll open up opportunity for Rowland to file for an appeal for ineffective defense, which can result in a mistrial and retrial, a waste of tax payers money and a burden for the victim’s parents to go through the painful process again.
