Its funny, I just got the Meepo version of those 105mm honeycomb wheels and got the exact opposite impression. I was on standard Meepo 100mm wheels that came with the now discountinued NLS PRO and recently got their 105 upgrade kit. I found them *more* comfortable on rough streets, less squirrelly on sidewalk gratings and those pimply miniramps at sidewalk corners. On the old 100mm it was often like hitting a patch of ice riding over them. Not so much with the 105mm honeycombs. I still won't hit them at very high speed but I am hitting them faster than before without the board "fishtailing" (or "fishy-tailing" as you Aussies say). They are louder on perfectly smooth indoor floor like surfaces than the bald 100m "slicks", but on smooth asphalt/tarmac you don't noticed it audibly or by any vibration through the feet. Oh well, to each his own. I am very pleased with them and consider them a taste of the real cloud wheels I intend to get early next year.

Solid review. Just got mine with 90mm wheels. First time ever riding any type of longboard and I was able to get the hang of it within an hour or so. Could max out the 2nd speed level within the first couple of miles, but it was defintely wobbly at times on me. Seems to be a great beginner board so far for learning.

I put the Honeycombs on the 2S Pro - I lost a bit of range (I am heavier than thou!) but the asphalt around my winter-striken Canadian city is so criss-crossed with cracks and potholes that the honeycombs (or Cloudwheel Donuts for that matter) have been a total life-saver for me. Much smoother ride, much safer - but we don't have those little "pegs" coming out of the sidewalks at every stoplight like you have down under. But yeah, this board needs more battery. Cool video Scott!

Great content and relatable opinions. It is definitely a beginner board with the underpowered motors and tiny battery. Gives everyone something to start out on though. Room to grow for a newbie, or maybe just someone with a short commute, because that battery will definitely charge fast while at work…
@thebishop742 жыл бұрын
My experience with Wowgo and my 2S Pro has soured me a bit... The max seems to be addressing a bunch of issues with the Pro, and I've not been able to ride mine in months. A heap of Pro owners were contacted and told not to use their existing battery due to "issues" when the battery gets low, added problem for me being I was contacted like 4 times plus, yet after months I still don't have the replacement battery. Pre this issue, I had a charger failure, which they dealt with well on a fairly quick replacement, but I also had a power on issue. Turn power issue turned out to be the motor wire routing in the ESC case/cover, one of my motor wires runs right across the back wires of the power switch, it had rubbed against one of the power signal wires and broke the solder joint. While they did also send me a replacement power switch with the power supply, I ended up just re soldering the wire, cause 10mins repair vs replacing the switch. But, it's been a frustrating first board experience. Other issues, the stock bushes really are too soft even for a 70-80kg rider, and the rear motor sleeves seem to wear rather fast, 200kms on my rear wheels and they have quite a lot of chips and wear on them...

Hello, Nice video brotherman! Im lookin for my first e-board to buy but its so many to choose between its overwhelming. I think wowgo 2s max would be a good board to start with. (lookin for something less then 500$) What do you recommend, Should i go with the regular wheels or these bigger once you tried in the video ? We have bad roads here with rough asphalt, and now and then there is some gravel roads i need to ride on. I thought those bigger wheels would be better for rough asphalt, but that dosent seem to be the case or what do you think ?

Wowgo would have to be my favourite eskate brand atm. I bought the Wowgo AT2 with cloud wheels after Scotties review. Its a solid performer. Much better than the Exway X1 Pro I had before that. The Exway X1 Pro was a good board but the range for me was nowhere near their estimated range. Sort of half that and the battery sag was woefull. Performed well from say 70 to 100% but under that and the boards performance really started to deteriorate. I found the Wowgo AT2'S overall battery sag, peformance didnt get that so much and there was no battery range anxiety for me. I was constantly having to look at my battery % on the Exway for fear I wouldnt make it home.

All Wowgo Boards seem to have good bang for your buck imo. They priced sort of in the middle somewhere compared to other brands. The Wowgo AT2 was perfect for me. I dont care too much for top speed. Id rather rider comfort, range and hill climbing ability and the AT2 has it in spades. Cant wait for Wowgo to have another go at making a All Terrain Board

Nice video as always. Wowgo is a bit sneaky though. My 2s pro didn’t go over 37 kph even when freewheeling. After a lot of discussion they send me a replacement esc. Which should I get if I'm mostly interested in using it for smooth rides on paved roads. I doubt I'll be too interested in carving. Hopefully, I'll be disciplined enough to not let myself go faster than 20 MPH.

It's not popular here so can't really test anything out in France. Also, the evolving tech is soo fast paced! Glad there are youtubers like you to keep us updated. I like your videos but in your SWOT-analysis you never mention any of the competitors in threats which should be included imo.. Specially since you test so many of them and can compare. That would make it a lot easier for us viewers to really know which board is better then the other (or which one you prefer) in the same price category. Now its more like you only promote all the boards that you test (so they can link the video on there website).. Nice video anyway 👍

@@scottdaviesyoutube Ye that would probably be a good idea but since there are a lot of new boards coming all the time now, the score will eventually get outdated..
