marines lose to raven + BC lol. Going BC+tank was an excellent close-out option because Maru knew Clem was just never going to catch up in the viking/raven count.

Not that Clem isn't an incredible Terrain player but to go into this match the way the one caster did especially like its anyone's game is kinda silly. Maru might be the greatest SC2 T and he is still performing at the top of his game.

In gsl tvt's, ravens are the dominant choice over liberators. Harder to control and accumulate but way more powerful. Dont know why the caster asking "why not liberators over ravens?"

Well, they're European, and they're more familiar with, and watch Clem play a lot more than Maru. It's natural they would be rooting for Clem. but they're casting commentary didn't really match up with the reality of what was happening in the games. They were constantly talking about how great Clem was doing, but Maru dominated this series.

It did feel like maybe Clem needs more experience with TvT. Meanwhile, Maru has been going up against the best Terrans in the world for years. Clem did not fight tooth and nail for the air from the get-go. Also, it seems Maru's TvT micro is superior.
