My brother just died yesterday at 57 hrs old of SCAD. Healthy, vegan and in great shape. Bike riding. He had one 10 years ago. This one was fatal.

I turned 25 last Wednesday; that day I had a small surgery that needed local anesthetics, unusually, I started sweating and feeling nauseous, ended up vomiting and it was of course attributed to nervousness. A day after I started feeling nauseous again, couldn't get to sleep due to chest/ribcage pain, my neck and jaw would feel so tense I felt like a truck was crashing me, let aside the extreme fatigue and short of breath I've been feeling . I have diagnosed anxiety so I tried to attribute the symptoms to that, but I've never felt like this; the heartburn, the feel that I'm about to pass out out of nowhere... Still, i am kind of shy to seek for help since my mom and girlfriend say that it's just that I'm getting better from the small surgery, I don't know what to do. Am i exagerating? I mean, "I am young and healthy"🥺

No, do not put yourself in the position of explaining things away. Check out the WISE study and insist on getting fully checked out.

I recently had 3 stents put in to one artery due to 80% blockage. However I don’t think it’s completely resolved the issue. I still get some of the symptoms of the pain down my arms and across the chest. What should I do?
@HeartMatters
@HeartMatters 2 жыл бұрын
Kaleem, please always review any ongoing symptoms with your local family doctor and cardiologist. It is important to check up on a few things and even arrange some additional tests to provide greater reassurance that everything is functioning ok.

The overall operation went well but then a couple of days later I collapsed like a tree in the house. I went to hospital the next day and they said I should have been taken off one of the blood thinners. I am still experiencing issues. But much less than before. I have a stress test coming up shortly in which hopefully they find something.

After start to feeling chest pain I went to the Hospital where they determine there is a narrowing of one coronary artery. A stent was placed and medications as blood thinners and athorvastatin to reduce the cholesterol was prescribed. A month after the blood analysis come out with the waiting good numbers for cholesterol. My question is if I already reached the right levels of cholesterol for how long I should keep taking the Athorvastatin (concerned about loss of memory)

Thank you Igor, generally, such lipid lowering medications are used long-term, the process of building up plaque takes usually many years so simply reducing the cholesterol on the blood stream doesn't mean that the cholesterol within the wall of the artery has also disappeared. Thank you for supporting the channel.

What symptoms were you having and what tests did they run to find out what was wrong? Did the blood test or EKG show abnormal results?

This problem can occur in any arteries. Most likely, there are similar damages in the arteries of the brain. They just weren't noticed.

Please explain why you are not using Nitric Oxide
@HeartMatters
@HeartMatters 2 жыл бұрын
An excellent question, nitric oxide coated stents have been tried and tested over many years. There are still groups around the world working on this technology. The major challenge is that nitric oxide itself is rather short acting and its beneficial effects remain relatively short within the artery so there needs to be a way to try and release this slowly over longer periods. I am sure as technology improves, these devices will become more mainstream in the future.

You appear to have missed a memo, what if NO could drip feed, Why do monks chant ? ans, it gives them a great feeling, hence over 500 videos of humming chanting on KZbin, Aw, come on! what! is really going on? They are generating Nitric Oxide the bodies own WD40. It won a Nobel Prize has over 185,000 peer review papers, can it cure cholesterol stop hardening of arteries just trawl the papers it's all there, BigPharma will not do it the charities will not, so now it's up to the supplement industries to to prove that Snake oil works and FDA has taken 30 pieces of silver, will that include you?

I was 45 when I had a heart attack. I have primary Sjögren’s. For months, I was experiencing extreme fatigue and SOB. I had angina and then it began to be unstable. It was happening more frequently. Due to high blood pressure and extreme stress (nursing school, finals, Christmas, poverty, deaths in the family and divorce) along with a lack of sleep and lots of caffeine, I started to become profusely diaphoretic and felt very crabby all of a sudden. I had even tried to remember back if it was blood sugar issues but it wasn’t. I remember feeling like all of the blood had drained from my body and then I felt as heavy as lead. I felt like I was going to lose my bowels and throw up and die all at once. I knew that I was dying and didn’t want to die in front on my teenage daughter on Christmas Eve, so I went to the bathroom to get in the shower because I was dirty. I sat on the toilet, naked, because I didn’t have the energy to make it to the shower. I don’t remember if I did get a shower, but I think I did and know it was quick, if so, because I decided to go lie down. After a few hours and a lot of prayer, I did recover. They never found anything with the stress tests but seven years later, I found out that I had primary Sjögren’s syndrome. Thank God that I was given more time here with my daughter and family. I still experience a lot of angina. Hormones definitely play a part.

My cardiologist suspects FMD and I do get BPPV and right ear pain, R occipital headaches, carotid pain and unknown spikes in BP. My vascular specialist wanted to have my kidneys imaged but insurance won’t cover it.
