Not happy with this kill, made a couple mistakes and got lucky.
For some reason, this is the ONLY attempt where it didn't do a ranged attack immediately after the P3 initial lightshow. Not sure what that was about.
The triple lightshow has a weird bug where the 2nd and 3rd volley just sometimes don't spawn any projectiles (happens on the 3rd one here)
You can skip the scripted P2 and P3 openers by spawning the boss in in a few areas of the arena where it spawns above the ground and falls down, cancelling its attack. These areas are 100% consistent.
I really don't like this boss for no roll for a few reasons:
1. It can aim up into the sky with every melee attack, making it impossible to jump them. The aim thing is tied to the arena and can be mitigated through positioning and knowledge of where this happens.
2. The brambles can collide with nothing and explode under you. I don't understand what makes it happen or how to play around it, but I might be missing something. (And no, I'm not talking about it exploding while there are objects near you, that is fine. I'm talking when there are no objects and it still collides with something)
3. The arena completely breaks the game. For whatever reason the game eats a TON of inputs here. Here's proof: • input drops scadu This is from less than 2 hours of gameplay, and only jump input eats that cause me to get hit. There are also attack and lock on input drops, but those don't kill the attempt so I haven't clipped them. After that my input overlay stopped working (and I didn't notice until I got the kill)
4. Charge doesn't always seem dodgeable. I tested beast claws, CKS running attacks and jumps. It's dodgeable when near it or far away, but there's a midrange where it can't be dodged with these options. Might be dodgeable using a different weapon, but idk what that would be.
