Great build! haha how funny that Tamiya and two of the Sovereign figures all had nearly identical poses. But you really made all these figures your own, what a great story and a well-executed scene 👍
@Barbarossamodels2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. Yeah it was a pity the 2 Soverign guys were literally posing the same way. I picked them up at Telford & wanted to try & revolve the diorama around Soverign figures as I’d never used them before. They had a decent selection on display & these 4 were the most relevant. Really nice figures though. Thanks for the feedback 🙂👍

Fantastic start and an amazing subject.....a little bit of cheekiness happening in the scene brings another element to war rather than the dark aspects which are mostly illustrated in dioramas. So much going on within this scene....the next episode will be something to look forward to most certainly!

This one has so much character! A lot going on, just so many details and love the storyline. Not sure if the Germans would let civilians get this close but such an interesting scene. Well done and looking forward to seeing it finished. 👍
@Barbarossamodels2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jerry, thanks for that. Yeah you could be right about the German & civilian positions, but perhaps a couple of old men & young boys are no real threat to the German war machine…..or so they think!😁😄

Outstanding Simon, this was such a pleasure to watch a modeler at the top of his game. Love the MiniArt tractor and the little boy peeping though the fence, so much is happening. You pack so much interest in your dioramas, well done. Take care and all the best.

Thanks Mark, really glad you enjoyed! Yeah as usual things can snowball with these things, the tractor I always intended using but the workshop kit threw a few more ideas into it….🤔😀 The boy(s) really cemented the story, the ‘peeking’ boy is great (although pretty expensive🫣). Thanks for the feedback👍

Awesome idea.I just laid my hands on resin figure of Michael Wittmann, and since i have a Tiger with full interior i decided to make a small diorama. But here comes the hard part. I have no idea what putty i could use for resin figure (just in case it's needed) and another problem is with historical accuracy. Wittmann is known to fight in his zimnerit coated tank. Have u heard maybe about him using a machine without zimmerit? I've never done it before and since it's an expensive kit i wanna go the easy way.
@Barbarossamodels2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks! I recently got some ‘green stuff’ putty to use to convert a figure and really liked it. Clean to use, great for filling gaps, would definitely recommend it. Regarding the zimmerit, unfortunately I don’t really know🤷♂️. I’ve never added any before to a vehicle, not sure about the historical accuracy either. I appreciate you don’t want to risk spoiling the Tiger. Perhaps try an online forum or Facebook page for some info? I’m sure you’ll get some help there…🙂👍
@mikemodels9282 жыл бұрын
@@Barbarossamodels appreciate the answer since your video made me really into this hobby. I found out that his Tiger on the eastern front didn't have zimmerit on. Easier work yet accurate!

Hi, the Sovereign figures were bought at the IPMS show in England last year, the little boy came from Poland from ‘Mantis Miniatures’ & the Verlinden set was from an excellent UK website historexagents.com/. I’ve never had to buy any figures from the States, but a bit closer to you I’ve used BNA in Australia which are really good www.bnamodelworld.com/ Hope that’s of some help 🙂👍

@Barbarossamodels2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the sub & glad you liked the model👍 That’s why I placed the scene in Eastern France, close to the German border…. I think the tractor box dated 1937 so the farmer acquired it in quieter times…😁
