On a weirdly warm but foggy day, I climbed down this cliff to fish a beach all to myself... with a surprising catch!

Eh mate, your photography easily contains some of the best visuals on KZbin. The different cameras and angles you choose to use, captures so beautifully, the specific fishing environment you’ve chosen. The visuals below water are absolutely wicked amazing mate. Keep up the incredible work. Honestly, it’s truly epic! Cheers from Western Australia!

That is so cool.I bet if you had a transmitting antenna on a float going down to the line camera and having a small monitor on the pole would let you view in real time whats going on with your bait.I know thats kind of farfetch but that would be cool.I love your channel man,keep up the great videos.That bat ray was super cool.Hey from Texas.Stay safe my brother.

I really like how you give little tidbits of info while fishing. Like when you mentioned how you look down as the water washes back off the beach to see if you can grab some sand fleas. The fleas that just malted and can't dig real fast because their she'll isn't rigid enough. That's great info dude. Keep it up

Interesting stuff. So different in some ways from surf fishing in Alabama-I cannot imagine climbing down a cliff to go fishing! The sand crabs look almost the same as ours; we call them sand fleas, though. One thing that’s the same in both places: damned rays are a pain in the butt and they love sand fleas!

Love the underwater footage too! Heartbreaking indeed. I'm a fan and have been watching your videos for a while Daniel and have seen you loose a handful of fish. One thing I'm always thinking with the lost fish is that you don't set the hook in hard/at all. Anyone (or Daniel) know if this could be a cause for the lost fish? Hoping this may help so we can see you land more sweet fish!
@brodiwheeler7583
@brodiwheeler7583 5 жыл бұрын
Ty H Not setting the hook hard on hard mouthed fish after letting them fully take the bait is definitely a factor, the other major factor to lost fish is lack of tension and improper drag set. I think D overtightened the drag on this Stiper and then the fish was able to shake off the hook.

Omg Daniel you had me dying laughing @14:27! Bahahhha! What would Fisherman Jesus do?! Lol I did not know that’s how you pick them up. It was scary catching one on the East Coast. We have sand crabs @ the Outer Banks too. I think Jun swears by the soft shells with eggs. Love the footage, I could just watch that for a while. If we go fishing together don’t even think of trying to kill me with that hike! If YOU have to take a break, mere mortals like me would die!! ❤️

Just from the underwater video, would it help if you have some small styrofoam to make your bait float up a little bit off the ground ? I always wonder while using a circle hook , HOW can you not get a hook up when the fish take your bait and run! Trying to learn WHY no hook up , especially you let the fish take your bait and run for a bit before reeling down on it Thought you would have lost your rod, saw that went down
