Your painting skills are incredible…I wish I could do it even half as well

Hi I liked the two videos very much. I was very amazed by your techniqe to build up, but also the method to paint it. Liked the idea with the orange over the green and also the "chipping" method.

Why did you stop making videos? This is great stuff!
@ScaleModelHeadquarters3 жыл бұрын
I did not, I'm filming one right now 😏 I'm working on a diorama, but its taking ages , two years so far, it's hard to squeeze modelling in between school and traveling 🤷

Quick question. Have you had any problems using salt to simulate rust? Since salt attracts moisture it seems like it might damage the paint job.
@ScaleModelHeadquarters3 жыл бұрын
Nah, it's absolutely fine, mate 😁

I'm sure that polish military marches are not protected by copylaws, but the last one is from "By Fire and Sword" soundtrack, so I think you should at last add some credits to Krzesimir Dębski in description. Also, fine model.

8:25 one week dry time?

Just to be sure, but two days should be enough :)

You should really let oil dry for a couple of months before varnishing with acrylic [more like, 3-9 months for a painting]. The reason it's regarded as bad practice to paint acrylic over oils, is because of their different drying rates; as oil drys it shrinks and contracts-causing the acrylic to lose adhesion. Thick oil can actually take years to dry, but a couple of months should ensure a model, thinly painted; lasts.

How long do you wait for the oil paint to dry before wiping it off?
@ScaleModelHeadquarters6 жыл бұрын
Basically as long as it looks wet you should be alright. So like a minute or so :)
