An indepth review, strip down & test of the TRN1 Trigger airbrush from Iwata. A great little airbrush..... Highly recommended.

I have already in mind to take one. Because it is very good for priming, base color and even medium-small objects in scale modeling (Aircraft 1:48). It will replace my Iwata HP-CP 0,3, HP-CP 0,2 and Iwata NEO CN. And with my LPH50 it will be my work horse.

Have you ever used a Grex airbrush? They are awesome. I like the hand grip spray brush and I also have large hands.

I love hearing the birds and dove in the bushes outside your garage... as far as Americans and guns, the handle for this gun is a bit small. From what I have heard from others about it, trigger hits your finger and it never is quite comfortable. Good review though, thanks!

Have been interested in getting one, and I thank you for your comprehensive review. I must have missed it, but are you using paints directly from the jars or is it thinned down?
@InternationalScaleModeller7 жыл бұрын
I use paints directly from the jar and if need thinning I'll mix them in the colour cup of the airbrush :)

Wish I'd watched this last night. I don't have this type of airbrush (but want to) however I tightened the nozzle on my own brush just a wee bit too tightly with the spanner and - snap - the damn thing broke in half with the threaded part still jammed inside the end. Argh! Luckily it's not an expensive brush. If anyone has some suggestion as to how the heck to get that piece out I'd like to hear it.

You mention the you use four airbrushes for specific tasks. So what brand are they and for what purpose do you use each one. I'd be interested to hear of Paul's selection as well. Given you did this video review five years ago, have you thoughts changed?

Great review. I've recently decided to start modelling again after thirty years and was looking at this airbrush. Would it be suitable if it was your only one? Would the trigger set-up hinder being intricate in anyway? Thanks.
@InternationalScaleModeller7 жыл бұрын
It should be fine as your only brush. I still use mine :)

Would this be a good brush for regular paint coat and clear as well?

only thing thats stopping me is. can it do laquers and enamals?

You'll probably want an external-mix airbrush for that. I recommend the Badger 350.
