Nice test runs, I don't know this car chassis to me looks like it may work good if you can place that rear magnet in the position up front of the motor kind of like how the ninco cars used to be? I am just thinking it may be good?....Or maybe not? I would try it!

That's a great shout - it's running good at the moment so, I'm loathed to even breathe on it right now! haha If it deteriorates, that's my first port of call bro, nice one!

Thanks for the shout out Pete :) Great video and great tips, I reckon there's a couple more things you can do to it to improve it mag-less, the Pendle guide swap kit and pop a radius on the inside and outside edges of the rear tyres :)

Cheers Dave, I've got a phase two planned but, it'll be a couple - few months away due to cost of doing it 🤦😂 🤘🏻

Hi Pete you have a very good controler but you have to adjust the sensitivity on you controler, I have absolute no problems with running my Scalextric cars on my. policar track they are all very fast and never comes of on less than you overdoing it. I run on 12.5 volt all the best from Danish Arne former Beverley now Cottingham where I have made my new track 4 lane.

Great instructional video Pete, but a little disappointing that you had to do so much to a readytorun car??? 👍👍👍

@@robertsale6528 I agree to an extent, scalextric openly say that they make good looking models that run and although horrific in corners, it does run so, I'd say some models are for the shelf more than the track unless, what you're really saying is next year at the Ade BBQ we have a Jag' class 😂😂😂

Nice one Pete ❤ can you put a deeper guide on a scalextric car? It might help 😊
@trackfanstv4 күн бұрын
I think so, I never had this challenge before but, noted two things the wheels on the offending cars are all super thin and, they're all narrow and tall so, differing looks but similar in their design so to speak 👍🏻

Some flatter after market braid like solder Wick will help, definitely sand the tyres.. the fronts only need to just skim the track.
@trackfanstv2 күн бұрын
I'll look into those braids, do you know where to get them from please chap?

@@trackfanstv easiest would be eBay, although if you’ve got electronics stores over there they should have it. Here in Australia we get it from a place called Jaycar. But google will bring up lots of options.

Try taking the front tyres off !

If only Scalextric sold their cars with a separate deeper guide blade all it takes is taking the standard blade and extending its depth by 2mm or a bit , Carrera sell their cars with a Blade specifically for Scalextric track and are still cheaper , you get two spares and space for two more under the case for the car pointless spare space if it’s not got a cross brand guide in it lol
