One of the things I always think is interesting is VN's POV character, when they are thier own one. Even "infulenced" by us, how they react to things. The MC, after loosing memory (Or possing someone), all confused and worried and then going off into jacking off in the Shower tells.....quite alot about how they are and think, more that all of the fantasys seems to follow a trend. very interesting.

11:50 given the positions I would assume they are meant to be moons however other planets could appear that large in the sky if they were orbiting a red dwarf star which is possible given how orange it appears in the sky.

While not nearly as unhinged as last week with Love Exalt this is still intriguing. Started firmly in horror/supernatural territory then that hard pivot into something akin to normalcy. Was kind of crazy to see that there might be a some kind of path if you don't take the door. Is a lot of work and text for what is likely a bad end, so it is worth checking out. The wording for the choices could do with being less ambiguous, but it helps put you in an uncertain mindset like the PoV. The character art is varied and interesting with the various kinds of scalies, but the backgrounds and sound design are the real stand outs. Not only do the backgrounds look good, but they and the music/sound effects are properly cordinated with the text. Helps make it an overall better experience that embraces its nature as a visual novel, instead of being a glorified kinetic novel. From the two sudden shower scenes, you also learn a bit about the main character. Even with no memories, his imagination and lust do have the potential to characterize him a little. Doubt it will be used expand to on him too much, but it is very clear he is submissive and agreeable.

Oh man, i love this game. I remember playing it years ago when there was hardly any content but it looks like they have come a long way. I totally want to try it again. The game seemingly being all scalies is interesting too considering how scalies usually ever get 1 token character if that in furry VN's . EDIT: Wow, that Kobold really left an impression.

36:38 i did see the thumbnail but, the art style didn't grab my attention, since you are making a point to call attention to it i suppose I'll give it a chance after i finish this video, you are vouching for the narrative to be entertaining right?

Can't speak beyond the Let's Try, but will say it's intriguing. Can never predict what someone might say next or what mini game might suddenly appear. Keeps you engaged and paying attention.

It’s slightly shocking when I randomly find a furry visual novel on itch that’s not made in Ren’Py. Can’t blame them though. I’m sure there’s limitations to Ren’Py.

ngl I can't see anything here that couldn't be accomplished in Ren'Py with about the same amount of time & coding knowledge that you'd need to create something like this in Godot to begin with, so it might just be something as simple as the dev being more proficient in the coding languages Godot uses than they are in Python Otherwise the only real benefit I can think of to making a VN in something other than Ren'Py is if you wanted to create something like an RPG/VN hybrid with explorable environments or implement 3D objects, but that doesn't seem to be what they're using it for here so I'm guessing it's probably the "already knew how to code in Godot" angle

@@MIAM_MIAM_CUISINE that makes sense. I don’t know how hard it is to customize Ren’Py. I know a bit of Godot and what they’ve done here is pretty trivial to active in Godot. So I can absolutely see that it might just be based on familiarity.

Feel free to ignore this shower thought. Looking at the amount of furry VNs that function on the same flawed model (artistically speaking) of chronological builds supported by Patreon to cover the art and living expenses makes me think. Why do VN writers, who surely care a great deal about their art, not work from a manuscript of the story just like a regular author? You could post this text-only version to generate desire among readers for what would functionally be an adaptation to a VN; raising the funds for the visuals without any of the drawbacks of the Patreon model. I don't see this as unrealistic expectations for readership, as stories that resonate with the populace will be spread quickly online, and the goal of seeing this story in VN form would be enticing. For example, I think an adaptation of a Kyell Gold story would definitely sell, so it's not total fantasy. But yes, the existing model is a fair balance of artistic flexibility and safe monetization, which is why it succeeds, and my ideas don't happen. Or maybe some authors actually do this, and I have no idea! I'm sure people have discussed this on social media (I wouldn't know) and that these points are probably an annoying gnat that won't stop buzzing its unqualified suggestions. Thanks for reading.

It's not 1:1, because of format differences, but Royal Road does have a fair number of writers doing regular updates (sometimes too regular, to be honest; a lot of them could do with a bit more time to cook) on a Patreon support model, then transitioning to self-published on Amazon or similar when they finish a book. It wouldn't be impossible for something similar to work with the end goal being a VN, though as far as I'm aware no one has gone that route.
