Thanks for taking the time to post this vid. On my old pic I had a scale and tile program which won't work with the mac or newer op systems. I was searching for a way to scale PDF's for plane building wether plans like this or just 3 views. Now I can scale my pdf's and also start to use Inkscape which looks like a great tool!! This has really helped me a lot, thanks again!!! Happy RC'ing!!! W

Awesome thanks for letting me know it worked. I just used it to scale up some balsa plans to have staples print out on 36x48 paper. It worked out great for that too.

I am new to all this, but after downloading Inkscape and doing a test with a full-size plan, the whole group of objects scales up and down as one single unit by just dragging the corner of the plan. Did measurements before and after, and it seems to affect the size. Hopefully, I am not wrong. Maybe it is a new software version, but it was a lot simpler than your explanation; in any case, this was a great video!

Great explaination, Thanks for making tutorial. Do you know an easy way to make the pages overlap ? Kinda like the FT plans that have the corner alignment borders and markings.

I think this is a function of your print settings in Adobe. I will ask Dan sponholz in facebook if this is correct.

@@joecarpino I use it for all my designs. It is my "design file". I copy pdf balsa plans in to it, pictures of examples. Love it.

Use Bluebeam Vu way easier. Open PDF select print capture what to print on screen , then select custom size and hit print!

I ran in to a bit of a problem. After I printed the plans out, I realized that the now 150% size made the A and B folds have larger cavities. Is their a way that you coped with this method?

By hitting Ctrl=Shift=G repeatedly makes it harder for you. Now you have to go and start collecting everything you want included. If you un-group slowly, you can move whole assembly's in one shot. No more hunting for ester eggs to complete the task.

I would say that that can be true but isn't necessarily true It depends on what you're trying to accomplish me I'm trying to ungroup everything to only group what I want so it works perfect for me

How do we set it for an A0 size print. Like all the parts in one A0 page.

Before starting your project go to File->document properties. In the paper size box go down to A0, about 4th down for me. You should see the project area adjust in the center of the screen.
