"Therefore, scalp massage could have the potential to influence hDPCs via stretching the scalp skin. Mechanical stress has been reported to influence various signaling pathways in many different cell groups. For example, stretching forces have been shown to stimulate Wnt signaling in dermal fibroblasts as well as in bone.14,15 In hair follicles, Wnt signaling accelerated the anagen phase of the hair cycle."

Hi, Cheryl ! I recently ordered a scalp massager (after watching this video). It arrived today.....I've already used it twice ! (this morning & tonight).....& LOVE it. LOVE it ! My scalp tingles slightly for a couple minutes after I use the massager. I found one marked down...& then an additional coupon....It is so nice ! Sits on a charging base. It's a pretty blue. Great shape that's easy to hold. Now....will I see some hair growth? Well, we'll see . Time will tell. But even if I don't, a scalp massage is still good for you & feels fantastic ! Thanks for telling us about these devices !!

Oh Pat, I'm so excited for you!! I'm glad you love it and you're right about the tingling - it feels great. And bonus that you got it on sale! There are at least 3 good reasons why massaging the scalp will jump start hair growth so I know you're going to see results in a couple of months. In the meantime, enjoy the massager!! Hugs, Cheryl

Greetings Cheryl, Thank you for such an in-depth video. I will be sharing this video for sure. 👍🏾 I do scalp massages at least 3x a week. I also use rosemary oil in my DIY oil mix. My hair has grown in - some. However, the hair that remains is so healthy, strong and full it gives the illusion of minimal hair loss. I also have incorporated steaming. I have a similar massager but I prefer the old school hand held wand massager. I can use it non stop for hours. Like you mentioned the de-stressing and good hormone release is sheer awesomeness. Your before and after shots are beautiful. TFS❤

You are soooo smart, Cheryl!! I could see so many new little hairs!. When you compared the before and after at the side of your head, I was shocked how much your hair has thickened, not much scalp showing! Believe me, I was shocked when I looked at that footage... it seems like I can feel a little more thickness when I touch the area, but seeing it was thrilling! Hi Cheryl, thanks for this video. My hair has improved on my crown from how it was a couple of years back. I scaled back the aloe Vera gel diy treatments I was doing on a weekly basis and all the other things and just left it along for a bit. I’ve had a couple of months with some products from a new line here in the uk called plantmade. Im not sponsored but I must say that it’s made a difference. At 63 I think it’s unlikely that my hair will ever return to the thickness I had even as recent as my 40’s but I would like to have hair at my crown as it makes styling much easier. I also watch curly chemistry - she’s full of useful info! Wishing you success on you hair journey and I’m off to massage my scalp! Jewel

Your right they would rather use chemicals and other devices than massage their scalp...I got s very good improvement at 67 years old by doing a concentrated massage regimen..and it worked...from my understanding all the different reasons that cause hairloss get cancelled out with good solid massage practice...which suggests all or most of the reasons are lack of blood through whatever cause ..

Hi. I’ve just stumbled across your video and your hair regrowth is fantastic, you must be over the moon! I started daily massaging for 10-15 mins in early December but with a silicone, manual massager. What are your thoughts on those please? Are they effective too? I also use a rosemary oil blend weekly. I think it’s too soon to see noticeable regrowth but someone I hadn’t seen for a couple of months and didn’t know I was doing these things yesterday commented that my hair was looking thicker! I was so chuffed! It’s rare (virtually never) that I get a compliment on my hair. 😊

Oh I'm so happy and excited to hear that you've been getting great results using this more natural approach!! I'm not familiar w/ the massager you're using, but the tool we use to massage our scalp is not important - the most important thing is that we do a massage that gets blood flowing to the hair follicles. You can use your fingers! I know you'll be receiving more and more complements on your hair in the future. Take care... xo Cheryl

I have been dealing with thinning, bald spots, and a wide part since 2015. I went to a dermatologist, and she suggested Rogaine. I am not comfortable with Rogaine, so I have been using oils and messages. I have seen some progress. I need to be consistent with what I am using. I wish you all the best with your hair. Hopefully, I can get some suggestions from your videos.

Thank you for sharing your story Lois! My best suggestion is that once you've settled on a re-growth plan, consistency is the final piece that will give you success. Massage can stimulate the hair follicles to start growing again and oils can make sure the new hair is healthy and strong. it's a slow process since hair only grows about 1/4 inch a month, but if you keep working at it, you will achieve more thickness and density! xo Cheryl

First off -- you are such a handsome woman! So pretty. Interestingly, I used to go for 4 years to a world-face Firth Avenue dermotologist who never told me about scalf massage, curiously (perhaps now she does). Your hair regrowth is truly impressive. It looks as if you used Rogaine! I just bought this massager & used it only 1 day and I do not like the feel of it on my scalp. It feels lumpy & bumpy & it doesn´t feel hard enough: I was using (only for a few days, I am new to this) a manual massager that felt great. Perhaps with the manual one I am actually pressing too hard and the electric one is modulated so as not to harm the scalp? Maybe I am doing it wrong with both of these methods? Your video is excellent on all counts!
@FreeRangeDiva
@FreeRangeDiva 7 ай бұрын
Thank you for those kind words! I would say that the electric one works best if you use a very light hand. It should be able to freely move around the scalp. If you want a more aggressive massage, you can change the setting, but the low setting is fine for me.

Yes in my Hair Loss video a few weeks ago I shared my DIY rosemary oil blend. It's got rosemary, cedar & lavender in a carrier oil of fractionated coconut oil and pumpkin seed oil. I've been using it regularly along w/ scalp massage and the bald spots are starting to fill in! Make sure to mix your rosemary oil in another carrier oil (coconut, argan, jojoba, grapeseed etc.) at 6-10 drops per ounce of the carrier oil.

The inconsistency makes this treatment method uneffective. People expect fast results by applying very little effort. I have androgenetic (not androgenic) alopecia since my teen years.
