A little disappointed in this video. I signed up for the presentation and it turned out to be a hardcore sales pitch for the course, with the promise of an interview. How does that work? You have to pay to get the chance to interview? Any trader that can afford that type of money doesn’t necessarily need the course. Lost a bit of trust here

@@Bighomie1911 No. If they're selling a course and not providing an apprenticeship, it's to fund their prop firm from suckers, bro and get the best of them to join in to trade such funds. All prop firms financially rely on both realm until they're highly profitable. If they're offering such a high ticket product, they're probably not as profitable on average or get rid of the ones who aren't profitable to retain a reputation. They're just a high-class version of typical prop firm experiences. Think about it, would you spend $x,xxx on the chance you might not get hired or evern continue to trade if it didn't work out for you? Education is one thing, gauranteed/apprenticeship a job is a another. Who knows, they might even have a time limit to trim the numbers and say "Well, it took you too long to reach our criteria, etc, etc" or "You need more training to join our current criteria it seems" it's a circle-jerk to a corporatize level if this is happening. There's so much money grab in this space that companies, which naturally are amoral by nature to survive, would think the other is stupid to NOT seek the more draining measures out of people's pockets. Even the most popular prop firms can have bad glassware/indeed/reddit/etc reputations that aren't publicized on their end for the sake of reputation management to, again, get more money out of the people rather than focus on training for the market as advertised.

this works, sometimes several times in a month. but you will need lots of tape read experience before knowing how to spot the failed attempt. the statement let it consolidate after break is what tells you, the speaker knows what hes talking about. being late is a confirmed decision but need higher stop loss points, thus high risk high reward is always something to tradeoff of. timing is everything and its what makes it hard to do consistently
@jaysoegaard2 жыл бұрын
100 percent correct....I look for a possible breakout and see how hard the resistance is and current market conditions...I always say when a stock has stong big order bulls it's bull..Thats why certain stocks keep showing up repeatedly on the top gainers list and become your money wells. You see it in the chart with higher highs. Usually happens more in bull markets...Took me months to figure out to wait for the right scalp moments and have tight exits. Variables like 10x avg volume, low float, low short interest and watching for manipulation in the level 2 is also important.. There might be a lot of variables but when you've seen the patterns on a daily basis you can spot a winner at a better success rate.

This is solid advice. I developed a mean reversion trade that needs about 10 criteria to be met for it to be a 10/10 quality trade... when all the criteria are present, it works so easily it's crazy. Cut that to only 6 and it's like a 50/50 probability. I've learned to base my position size on the number of criteria I have in my favour.

Hey guys, just putting this out here for anyone who sees this to reply. I needed your take on what I should do to get into prop. I had dropped out of college in 2019 and that was a year into trading . It took me a little over three years to start seeing any consistent profits. However, I intend to go back to school to pickup from where I left off. I reside in India, I trade the Indian markets and that has made it really hard for me attend my lectures. I have come to a work around to that problem- trade the US market at night (on account of the fact that I worked night shifts to get to where I am as a trader now). However, I lack the capital, and the infrastructure to make that switch on my own, and am hence looking into prop desks that trade the US markets around me. I've been seeing more green months than red this past one year and even though the markets have changed in the past 3 months or so, I kept my losses small and have adapted and I think I will put up another green month in November. All that said, in the past, I have been rejected by firms on account of my lack of degree and that was not making any money when I applied earlier. What can I do to stand out and really nail any trading position? Love the work that you do and would love to have your opinion on this. Cheers.

@MelonCapital Жыл бұрын
This value is incredible - I’ll definitely be putting this into action when I start trading. Question; when looking for stocks in play do you want all 3 catalyst, daily key level and 3+ RVOL? Or is just one sufficient? Obviously just all 3 would be best. But just wondering if one is sufficient.
@jeffholden3736 Жыл бұрын
to play it safe, look for all 3. If one of the 3 is really good, like a really important catalyst, say like GOOGL today on the AI presentation, you can get away with not needing all 3, but most times, all 3 factors can keep you focused on the right stocks.

Nice video: Just stating the obvious: Wouldn't have been better strategy, and considerably more profitable to trade on the long side of AMD at the open instead of trying to pick loose change in front of a steam roller on the short side? I see the scalp but damn... Don't miss the hour and half +4 point 7++% upside move where the real $$$ was! Vs a 1pt 1.5% move down! Just my op! 🤷♂
@jeffholden3736 Жыл бұрын
Very valid point, and true. Much of the real opp was to the long side earlier in the day. But thats what I love about scalping, different opportunities just get presented through the day, so I just have to identify what Im looking for and let it set up for me. If I missed the entire open, I still can make a really nice EV trade here.
