Its the language barrier, they seem to think their broken english is enough to hide their scams....when you point out what they are doing they get upset. I experience this a lot in france 5 years ago. There are sooooo many scams being run around the tourist spots, there are at least 5 going on at anyone time and when you point out the scam its the same bullshit.

I'm 70 been using computers for over 35 years (work related) I can go back as far as ATARI , and that television game with a ball going back and forth) got a call from a mobile " can I get a pencil and paper to write down instructions because they have noticed Microsoft have not updated properly ???????????? instructions for cmd prompt thats as far as they got my instructions were ***K off I dont think I need a voice changer to act old I am old BUT thankfully tech savvy and NOT vulnerable, My kids and grandkids ask me for pc advice.
