Recently we have one of our relative stolen his 10 lakh (1,000,000) rupees from his bank account. You guys are actually lucky. I used to work in a call center that handled Internet banking issues. This was a long time ago obviously. It was almost frightening the amount of information elderly people would want to give over. Like telling me their social security number out of nowhere. I did my best to tell them we will never ask for that, but it is scary how they didn't realize it wasn't a good thing to do.

I was recently scammed as well. It's good to know that someone out there is fighting back. I'll never see that money again, which sucks and makes my stomach turn. This is so good to see though. Keep fighting these mother f***ers!!

Pierogi, I was almost taken in by the PayPal refund scam out of India. They wanted me to go to some random website that had nothing to do with PayPal. A message popped up that the page was associated with phishing activity. The guy on the phone told me to ignore that. I hung up. Now I just don’t answer and if they leave a voicemail I just block them.

my mom just got 10 thousand dollars out of her bank account because somebody got her card information due to a scam, she eventually got it back but it's because of you and other people who make others aware of the dangers of the internet.

A realistic restitution idea would be : a) Tariffs on India's exports to the US/Canada/UK/Australia/NZ. b) Tariff proceeds go to a victim restitution fund. That will get the Indian Govt to crack down.
