I've had that one pulled on me a few times. I expect most anyone who's run a business for some length of years has heard it. I'm not sorry they were arrested. People like that, both in and out of public office, are bringing this country down. It sucks, sure, but it's either they go down alone, or they take everyone down with them. It's one or the other, it's either A or B.

A friend is a cop and she says the same thing, constantly. Drunk women are waaaayyy worse and more difficult to deal with than drunk men. Yes, men are generally much bigger and much stronger and can cause more damage if shit kicks off, but the problem is that the cops can't approach a fight with a woman the same as they do a fight with a man. Not even female cops can use too much force against a drunk woman who's kicking and punching them, because a good lawyer can destroy the life of several cops if a "poor defenseless woman" gets taken down too hard. Juries of our peers are very biased in favor of women in these cases. She loves that they're all carrying body cams now though, because it makes it so much easier to prove that the woman was instigating everything, and didn't give the cops any choice but to take her down hard.

As an leo who works nights in an area with a lot of bars/clubs, I can say you’re probably right. People pick fights with bouncers then try to sue the club on the regular. FYI...the charges they caught are worthless if they get dropped. These people count on that. Save any footage you have of them acting out, and actually go to court when the subpoena comes in a few weeks/months (depending on how backed up COVID has the court system in your area). If you don’t, the case gets dismissed and these people are free to try this again on other businesses without consequence. All they need is one successful incident to bring 5-6 figures in “winnings” and be set for a year.

Got pulled over in P'cola when I was a young man while giving a friend of a friend a ride home from a strip club. As we were pulling into an empty lot the guy opens a backpack and tells me he has weed on him. Freaking out and pissed off, I tell him to eat it. Tragically, it was an entire Tupperware bowl filled with buds - way too much to eat. He tries shoving it under the seat, but it wouldn't fit. Skip ahead to our hands on the hood of the squad car while one cop looks in my car with his flashlight. Wouldn't you know it, he spotted the weed. "We have some pot here," the cops calls over to his partner. Knowing I was going to jail no matter what, I say: "You do? Hey, so do we."
@oldpolak52034 жыл бұрын
A cop once asked me if I was baking cookies . The weed smoke was so thick coming out the car window he had to step back . I could not understand what he was talking about . The roadside dui test was no piece of cake after I landed on the top of my head . I had a bread bag full of buds that he found in the glove box that he kept for himself . Had some bud hairs with pure resin on them that weighed a gram that the cop found in my pocket and charged me . I went to court and lost my licence. That was early eighties.

I went around her and I got pulled over because my front tire touched the yellow line. So I pull over and I start MotherF'n and the cop says hey, I was just going to give you a waring but if you want to continue MotherF'n me then fine. I shut up and apologized. The Cop was a Vet too and he just got back and I invited him to the Legion for Drinks and I even got him a membership to the post and to the Riders. So yeah listen to the cop, best policy.

The dumbest time I got arrested was about 20 years ago the owner of a local bar hired me to paint a mural on the side of his bar. So I was there with a friend and we were laying the first base coat and the main owner's partner drove by-who the owner hadn't told that we were going be painting-and instead of stopping and asking us what we were doing he called the police. We explained to the police what was happening, that we weren't just vandalizing the place, and they tried to call the owner...who didn't hear his phone. it took about 3 hours till we finally got a hold of somebody who could get a hold of him. But, it worked out, they released us eventually, and we got free beer out of it for a good month. LOL
